Mosaic City, located along China's coast, is quite large city sometimes called the Crossroads Between Nations due to its diverse population. While it was once a large tourist spot, the city was placed under a blockade as the military appeared claiming there was a radiation leak. The true hazard, however, is much more sinister.

"Is this all you have? Fighting amongst yourselves and not giving a damn about the rest? What happened to those bonds you were so proud of? Maybe I was wrong to believe that it even existed."
"Fuck you," Jaelyn said. She didn't care about the rest. She got hit, hard. She was healed. People said words that she didn't give a flying damn about. Other people were idiots, still fighting amongst themselves like it was somehow going to make a distance. Whatever. The moment the winged shadow said that, Jaelyn's attention was focused completely on it. "You hear me? Shut up! Shut the fuck up!" Her eyes were wide again, and panic was evident in her voice as she shouted. "You can't just belittle us like that! I'll fucking kill you!"
Was the shadow's words even directed at Jaelyn? No, probably not. But she was beyond caring. As far as she was concerned, it was a symbol of everyone's failures. It had killed one of the strongest among them. It cast her own abilities, which had seemed to have come so far before, into doubt simply by existing. And now it was just taunting them as though they were nothing before it?! No. She wouldn't accept it. She was going to keep stabbing it until it couldn't talk anymore. She screamed, running straight for the shadow with knife in hand, then pulled that hand back and drove it towards the shadow with all the strength she had.
Quite frankly, his actions weren't appreciated. It was a typical day in Aleister life but he noticed some choice people focusing on him. The boy who used his sheathe to block the bullet. The girl he targeted and a familiar blondie from the park from the other day. Aleister simply leaned away from this blonde haired boy's attempt to hit him.
"Quit being such a little bitch,"
"Apologizes for my generous lessons making me a bitch."
”You know, I don't think I've genuinely wished for the death of another human yet. Not from the bottom of my heart. Motherfucker, congratulations. I am about to fucking end your ass-pimple blemish of a life.”
"Six, four, and ten." What Aleister is counting? Well this isn't the first time people had choice opinions of him. The little girl raised her paint ball gun and fired. Aleister leaned to his side and watched it graze his arm...with admittedly horrifying results. He looked at the frozen and torn area of his lab coat. "I knew kids these days modified their paintball guns but this is stretching it. Oh shi-!" Aleister was blasted away from the gigantic black blast from the winged sentient shadow. He collapsed for a bit before finally stopping. He laughed.
"This is actually kinda funny..." IT was a good thing he was healed earlier otherwise he was pretty sure that might've had a good chance of doing him in. He turned over to the girl. He figured he'd have some fun playing tag...too bad he wasn't it. He snapped his fingers and started running. Appearing above Sayu is the Crocodile that Agares rode on. It opened it's jaws and attempted to bite down on Sayu. Aleister might as well get some data out of her since this has gotten out of hand.

"Fuck's sake..." Kyle muttered, watching the two morons fight each other so openly.
Their funeral, they all had bigger fish to fry. Presently Kyle licked his lips thoughtfully, watching the enemy make their move. He'd somehow managed to keep his head calm and get 'in the zone' so to speak. Fuck Shadow Vice for now. There was enough time for that later. With attacks coming from everywhere, Kyle got moving.
Vice's attempt to use a superpowed spell didn't work. Kyle almost danced around the blasts with his teeth grit in an angry snarl like a dog's. He topped that off with a gracious double finger at the Shadow, just because he could.
Then that psycho Shadow -- seriously, what the fuck was wrong with that thing. That one's attack went wide around him and Kyle barely felt his hair get ruffled from that attack. He was actually quite amazed that the thing managed to miss him. He sounded so pissed that Kyle assumed he was just too spazzed out to pay attention to what he did.
And then there was wolfy. Seriously, what the fuck was that thing? Kyle rolled aside and the barrage of needle-like energy missed him. Pretty damn good. He grinned angrily and considered. So the damn wolf resisted slash, which just so happened to be his best attack. Damn, that put him out of the game. He was tempted to go for Vice but he had a distinct feeling like that'd be useless too.
Well, fuck. Now what?
He sighed a bit and willed Sitri to use his dark attack again. That seemed to be his best bet right now, as weak as it was. The leopard snarled and raised his head while spreading his wings. He roared and another wave of darkness raced out and hit the wolf and the two Shadows.

"We are so accustomed to disguise ourselves to others that in the end we become disguised to ourselves."
François de la Rochefoucauld
As much as Pyxis hated to admit it, the bitchy girl had a point. Just about anyone with enough experience with shadows could probably tell that the wolf thing wasn't one. Pyxis wasn't going to dignify her tirade with a response, though. There was no point. If she was going to be a bitch, that was on her. Just so long as she wasn't endangering anyone else...oh for crying out loud. No sooner had Pyxis thought that, but some other idiot decided to try and shoot the girl's phone. And that got a shot from the girl in return.
Somewhere along the way, Pyxis found herself evading yet another massive attack from the Vice killer shadow, and taking a resisted hit from the wolf thing. Which was soon healed in its entirety. The massive blunt force attack from the angry turtle was, still, insignificant to her. She sighed, then calmly said so that the bitchy girl and her attacker could hear, "At the risk of repeating what other people have said, can you try to kill each other some other time and focus on the things trying to kill all of us right now?"
And that was all she said about that. If they didn't listen, she was done trying. She would still do everything in her power to keep the shadows or the wolf thing from killing them, but she wasn't going to do a damned thing to stop them from attacking each other. Fighting off the shadows was too important to waste time and energy on that.
And speaking of fighting, Pyxis took the opportunity, effectively a lull in all of the attacks aimed at her, to start charging up for another massive attack. Hopefully, once she finished charging up, she would be able to finish off the Vice killer.

The slow whirring of the machines inside him, the blankness in his hud and his optics only seeing glimpses of the pavement as it tried to bring itself back to life. No avail though, for the most part Vincent was just scrap metal until he could be repaired or the magical equivalent for it. He'll probably wake up eventually, or get thrown in the waste basket, but until then he was just pretty much gonna be a body in the middle of the battle field.
How he was being thrown around like a rag doll didn't even merit all that much attention. Why care for junk after all?

More severe attacks. Layla once again failed to dodge them, but was soon healed up. If this kept up, she'd be fine. The repeated pain, then mitigation of it, was a concern, but Layla had started to get used to it long ago. All she had to do was keep pushing forward. These shadows weren't going to kill her. Neither was this wolf, whatever it was. He life and death were her own to control. Not anyone or anything else's. She'd asserted that when she defeated the Reaper, and it would still hold true now.
And she didn't particularly care about the infighting going on around her, either. It was troubling, that other people could fight each other when such strong enemies were around, but there wasn't much she could do about it. She could either try to restrain the girl with the paintball gun, or she could actually attack one of the things that was trying to kill all of them. Between those two, it wasn't too hard to guess which one they should have done. So Layla tuned out the scuffles, listening only to hear if anyone called for more 'status' cleansing.
For the moment, she focused on the wolf. For something unknown that had destroyed the cursed god shadow they had originally been after and then turned on everyone else present, it seemed like the greatest threat. So Layla ran towards it, jumped, and brought Vayavastra around in a wide arc to hit the wolf with a devastating, slicing wind.
"Amane! Calm down,"Amane felt her arm being tugged. She spun around and felt her shoulders being grabbed. It was Phoebe. "Calm down. If one of us breaks ranks now we're all going to go down the drain. We can't run. If we run, who's going to stand and fight? Right now we all need to calm down and the more of us start acting calm, the faster we'll win. Listen, I know you're scared. I'm terrified. But I'm here. Stand near me if you're scared, I'll protect you. I promise. Amane was remembering the scorpion. She quickly shook her head and stepped back when she let go.
"Y-you can't...!" Amane was blasted away by a physical attack from the turtle and just managed to barely avoid getting skewered by the wolf. She winced in pain. With how many times these attacks are hitting her she'd think she would get use to it. She quickly got up and pulled the spike out. Amane was still in panic but noticed the one who was speaking so grandiosely earlier.
"Amane, the enemy is not going to go away until we defeat it. Time will not move until we defeat it. It will likely continue to destroy the city until we defeat it. It's not something we can ignore. But you are safe with us. We will not let anything happen to you. Look, you already have someone willing to risk a lot to defend you."
"But...!"
”Amane.” Amane turned over to Ran. ”If you feel afraid, then run.” Amane wanted to ask if Ran was coming with her but what she said next surprised her. ”If you're afraid, if you can't focus, you're just going to put yourself, or whoever's trying to protect you, at risk. So, if you need to, run. Distance yourself. Calm down and see if you want to return. I won't judge you. If anybody here does, then they can deal with me.” Amane's eyes widened and she looked down. She didn't know what to say to this...or what to think for that matter. ”So, either run for safety, or buckle down and fight at our side. Don't let honor, pride, or others decide for you. Do what you feel is best and right.” Ran then turned around and used her persona to heal the others. Amane looked up at everyone else.
"I'll be back...I promise..." Amane started to run on to the side of the stairs and into the trees that weren't destroyed. She decided she was going to use the cover to think and hopefully fire off a few sneak attacks.

”You know, I don't think I've genuinely wished for the death of another human yet. Not from the bottom of my heart. Motherfucker, congratulations. I am about to fucking end your ass-pimple blemish of a life.” Ringo honestly wanted to stop the long black haired girl but hearing the roar of incoming attacks kind of put that on hold. He just hoped no murder actually happens even if the other guy deserved getting his legs broken.
Ringo felt himself getting pushed away by a shock wave, he'd assume the armored turtle man's attack. However, Ringo managed to dodge Vice's blast attack. Then there was the large wolf, sending needles at them. He winced in pain as he felt it slash his left shoulder. Well he wasn't moving this arm right. He dropped his sheathe on to the ground. Thankfully it was healed not long after by another persona user. He quickly picked the sheathe back up.
"Tokoyo!" The samurai was summoned again and she soared through the air. Ringo knew this wasn't going to work, seeing as how one of the enemies present out right null slash and resist it, but it was the best he could do. Tokoyo opened her sword once more to unleash a large wave of slashes

Again, it seemed clear to me that Sayu and that other guy were going to fight each other. And this was amidst the barrage of attacks that were being launched from the other Shadows. "Humph," I bellowed out hoarsely, addressing the winged demon Shadow. "You're talking to a motley crew of kids who barely even know each other. Don't spew your mindless bullshit about bonds and crap." I simply yelled out as I gripped my knife and rolled out of the way of the demon's nova this time, the attack missing me. The angry turtle once again repeated his wave of anger and rage, but once again it was ineffectual on me, so I didn't give a flying fuck about him. At this point, my anger didn't rise from him per se; it was from how immature everyone acted during the situation.
This was a time to put aside differences and band together, not a time to bicker uselessly like a bunch of schoolchildren. Soon, the wolf attempted to retaliate by spiking up its fur and launching spines at everybody, and I was unable to evade this attack this time, so I could feel the spikes driving into my skin and it really did hurt. Amane attempted to flee amongst all this, but she was conflicted on really she would or not. Ran told her something, and instead Amane opted to run off and hide somewhere. From the corner of my eye, I saw the fight between the two users becoming more heated as the infighting became worse.
I sighed and gripped my knife, now performing another Vorpal Blade on all enemy targets. "I'm going to snap some necks after this battle." I simply murmured.

Things didn’t seem to be calming down anytime soon. Some of the users could stick to their privilege and attack the opponents strategically; he assumed they were the more mature ones. However, there were still fights and yelling going on between the other half. He knew reason was thrown out the window long ago, and voices wouldn’t reach their ears anytime soon. As if they were enraged by an attack and not even the healing spells affected their sense anymore. At least some of them still attacked amongst the shouting.
As Tatsuma carried the fallen civilian to relative safety, a young woman rushed to them as well. He could hear what she was saying, and nodded in agreement, not seeing the point to stress it further. He never thought he would be the one to think anyone should be calming down, but really, some of these people were way out of their minds even for his standard. "This is crazy. Half of the people here aren’t listening to reason."
He could see a girl near him – Amane, he heard the name – begin to panic, and he was even thinking about walking up to her and slapping her, but another user was already there and shaking her out of it. Reassurance came from two sides, two different opinions, and he wasn’t sure which one was right. In the end, the girl ran to safety, which he could understand. She wouldn’t be of much use panicking in the middle of battle. And who knows, maybe she will come back once she made up her mind.
Another user fell, and Tatsuma started to wonder just how much different in power they were. Some of them just looked so strong, barely hurt by the attacks of the opponents even when hit. He was lucky to avoid most of them, but he knew his luck wouldn’t hold out as much. He was at a shrine, which was a bad omen for him. And sure as hell he wouldn’t start praying to his gods he abandoned so long ago right now. At least he could observe how the wolf reacted to their attacks, and the blonde girl who spoke so much just reassured his thoughts. If it was weak to darkness, at least he could go out with his elemental attack too.
However, the counterattacks came, and the wave of almighty magic washed over him. By the time he realized what happened, he was already on the ground beside the fallen body of the civilian. The attacks didn’t stop there, and the last he could do was to cover the other person with his own body. Behemoth perched above him, but the beast couldn’t shield them from the attack of the other shadow or the wolf.
Damnit!
The last thing Tatsuma saw before collapsing on top of the civilian and loosing consciousness was the giant, colorful canine still perched on top of the shrine that he hated so much.
It was another unknown-element spell that came from the demon. Prepared for the attack, Crux put himself upon his knees and gawked at the wave just barely missing his nose. More words from the Alpha-grade Shadow. Some disparity emerged between his proclaimed identity of 'Vice's killer' and someone who might have known them... or, at the very least, spied upon them. His manner of speaking suggested that he informed about how they usually fought (from what Crux could personally tell): coordinated and with clear directives for each fighter. Further investigation was required.
Before sitting up and standing back on his legs, Crux was forced to repeat the process with that one move the Hammertime thing was doing. He lacked the back pain that would follow, and without another second to spare, he erected himself. A spike fell into his chest, its impact lessened by his bandages and supportive spells from the Users. Damage was still at a sustainable level, though distribution of energy was spread out from having to endure the more powerful attacks. It was likely that another healing spell would be cast, replenishing himself. Before he counterattacked, he took a look at Brynhild's status. No good; she was hit by a few of the attacks. The hole on her abdomen was curious. There was no blood and gore, as what would be expected from a wounded human. She was another one of his sisters. Were they finally deploying more Anti-Shadow Units to the city? Were they trying to have them rush the job?
Off to the side was another body. The man wore a red jacket, and he was spasming like crazy. Crux sighed when another person went down right beside him. More bodies to keep safe, and more of a reason to let them both down and simply stand beside them to ensure the safety that they required. He set off to bring Brynhild's body next to Vincent's gently, and made sure to stand as a barrier between the three and the enemy. "I'm right here," he said in a monotone manner. The distractions were numerous, and the android was halfway between combat mode and his usual behavior.
The wolf didn't look like it took enough damage from his sword attack. The alternative would be his dark attack, which seemed to be much more viable of a choice to make with this next move. Tsukuyomi floated down next to Crux and unleashed a large horizontal wave of darkness upon the two Shadows and the unclassified rainbow wolf.

Luka could best describe the situation around her as pure chaos. Chaos as a war erupted around her, and as she felt many people arguing among themselves. Many things happened, really. But Luka continued to focus on the threats that were endangering everyone. A few people had already been downed during the battle and undoubtedly if they didn't continue fighting, even more would be as well.
Now, the girl hadn't really spoken since the beginning of the battle. She felt no need to when there was really nothing to say. All of the chaos going on? Not worth her words. It was funny how far she had grown in personality during her time as a user, honestly. Ironically, she wouldn't have said much of anything when she had just started out either. But the reasons were much different than before. It was only until now that the girl felt the need to finally say something. Hel. Chaos Element! The girl had been preparing just to let out a powerful attack on all of the enemies. There were setbacks with each turn. More shadows appearing and each one being immune to her attacks. It was nothing a quick fix couldn't handle of course. But this time, the girl was finally launching the attack she had been saving up all this time. A large mass of dark energy formed overhead and split into several masses before crashing into each target. That felt good.

The girl watched as her attack managed to land a critical blow on the enemy. She seemed to be getting better at that sort of thing. Of course, she had little time to celebrate as she watched the hairs of the wolf spike up and begin flying towards her and the others. Dodging that would not be easy at all. Yet somehow, the girl managed to do it well enough that she was not hit at all. she took a deep breath as she realized this fact before grabbing another bomb from her pouch and lobbing it at the enemy once more. This thing was probably going to be a pain in the ass to fight given it took down the last boss with one hit.

Rikki simply scratched his head at the scene in front of him. Then again, that was his usual response to these fights. Standing in the back with his hands in his pockets, the boy didn't exactly know what to do at the moment. That girl had taken care of healing again so there was no reason to heal yet. That simply left him with the task of dealing some more damage on the boss and the other shadows that were fighting. With Throne at his side, the boy visually targeted the two shadows and the hound and began to fire off a volley of flame based attacks.
There was a flash of pain that broke through the shadow's concentration. Too encumbered by the debilitating hexes to do anything about it, and the accumulated damage on his body was enough that he had to stop moving his wings as he less than gracefully fell back to the ground and landed on his feet. Shoulders sagging, knees bent, and ichor freely flowing from the numerous wounds afflicted on his body. The following barrage of attacks was too much to take in though, so much so that Vice actually felt some of his wings being broken by the onslaught of pierce and darkness attacks from the ones who his human fought alongside with.
Despite the overwhelming pain he was feeling, the shadow couldn't help but let out a devilish smile as he braced himself for the onslaught he knew was coming. Falling down unto his knee, his battered wings lying to his sides and unresponsive to his control, Vice just needed a moment to collect himself. He doubted he'd be able to last against the next wave but in the off chance that he did, well, there was a morning star with everyone's name on it just waiting to be used.
