Mosaic City, located along China's coast, is quite large city sometimes called the Crossroads Between Nations due to its diverse population. While it was once a large tourist spot, the city was placed under a blockade as the military appeared claiming there was a radiation leak. The true hazard, however, is much more sinister.

The clock struck twelve, and the world turned to a sickly shade of green. Mosaic had become the contents of an old alcohol bottle. Humanity, fermenting and rotting by the day, was, for the most part, encapsulated by the coffins. Naturally, there were some loose annoyances, but such was the state of humanity. No matter how refined and perfect a system might have been, humans would, without fail, become wrenches to disrupt and destroy the system from the inside out. One such system was that of the world. A beautiful, natural system that allowed numerous beings to coexist naturally was utterly disrupted by the humans within it. They grew, they rotted from the inside out, and then they corrupted everything around them.
From the waters, a sludge slithered. It was a beautiful azure that glowed in the sickening green hue the world had taken. It bubbled, then began to twist and gather. It still shifted up the sands, though, until it was safely out of the waters. The mass curved and shivered. It was still forming properly. Within the slowly forming "body" was a red core. It pulsated and quivered, letting out a silent pulse that communicated with each individual cell of the mass.
Soon, its body would be complete again, and its own brand of saving the ecosystem could commence- one bad apple at a time.

Ringo's eyes moved outwards toward the window as the world became covered in green again. He opened his closet and took out Hina. Tonight was another full moon battle. He hoped it would be less a disaster than last time but he wasn't sure if anything was resolved the last time around. Ringo ran out of his apartment toward where his Persona detected the massive shadow.
He found his footsteps on the sand of Mosaic Beach. Ringo watched as the slime emerged from the water. His eyes observed the red core within its body. He assumed that cutting that down will end this particular shadow's life. Ringo's eyes glowed as he drew Hina.
"Tokoyo!" Going on in would be reckless, he had to test the waters. The samurai's sword started to surge with electricity. She swung her blade, sending a jolt toward the creature to see what effect it would have.

It had been nice to have a night to herself for once. No disasters, no fighting, just a day at the beach with some ice cream and sun. After all, with everything that had been happening lately didn’t she deserve a little R&R? Anne had been feeling exhausted as of late, and not the type that sleep could really fix. If she had been able to sleep at all, of course.
With everything going on in her head, it was only natural for her to finally give herself a day off. It was supposed to be a beautiful full moon, which made for interesting water conditions. Sure, full moons apparently brought out the crazy in people, what what difference would that make to her? If she could hold her own against a shadow or three, she could take care of the possible human ruffian.
She had even gotten dressed out of her norm! Of course she had a bathing suit on, after all, what good would a day at the beach be without one, and over that she wore a teal sundress embroidered with flowers. It may have made her feel out of sorts, but eventually she had said to hell with it, it wasn’t like she was going anywhere she expected to fight.
If only she had an inkling ahead of time what sort of crazy happened on full moons. Too bad for her she didn’t have Cery with her on full moons past, perhaps then she would have been a bit more in the know-how.
While it was getting very, very late, Anne had decided to take one last walk down the boardwalk before heading home. The sea air felt nice, no reason for her not to enjoy it. As she took a deep breath, everything suddenly got very quiet… and green.
Freezing in her tracks she looked around, confused beyond measure before scowling in annoyance. “Really? My first spook free night and it becomes less-than spook free?” Looking around to get her bearings, she almost looked right past the ocean before something in the distance caught her eye. It seemed to be pulsing, moving, and before she could think about it she saw lightning strike in the same area. Clenching her teeth she reached into her messenger bag, pulling out her hand wraps, turning them around her knuckles as she ran. Whatever it was was bound to be bad, and she had to help, day off or none.
As she approached she saw there was already one other there, presumably the source of the lightning before judging by their persona’s crazy lightning sword. She didn’t know who the other person was, but they at least had the right idea. In front of them stood--was that the right word? Blobbed? Lay? Her face skewed in confusion, shaking her head. In front of them was a huge morphing blob, with a strange red center. Whatever it was, Anne followed the other's lead. Her eyes narrowed and the Cerynitian Hind suddenly stood beside her, a blade in each hand. Focusing on the thing in front of them, Anne shifted, standing at the ready, fists held in front of her.
She wasn’t going anywhere near it herself right now, though. “Cery! Aim for the center!” The Hind looked at the creature through her bone mask, spinning her blades in her hands before hurling them straight ahead.

Mother of- Again? Wasn't it just a month ago that this shit happened last time? Gimme a break, here!
Tristan sighed as he grabbed his equipment. He knew better than most that this needed to be done. He said most because, well, most of the Users that were still around were new bloods who had never seen this before. Not exactly much competition there.
When the boy arrived on scene, he took note of the giant blob rising from the sea. He looked at the others who had made it so far: Ringo, who was pretty cool and that Tristan was glad to see; and one of the new-bloods. Wait, I was beat here by one of the noobs? What the hell?!?
With an angry shake of his head, he looked to the shadow rising to the earth."Blobzirra, blobzirra- look over here, you fuck. Take this!" With a yell, Tristan summoned Ifreet and fired off the first spell to come to mind- Maragion.

When Xain's sensors picked up another anomaly, he quietly stood and went to the source. Whatever the creature was this time, it needed to be dealt with. He wasn't overly surprised when he did arrive. He saw one of the people from his mission; it wasn't Kyle, thankfully. The robot also saw someone that he hadn't seen before. However, the most noticeable face was that of the person yelling to draw the attention of the shadow.
Xain was not surprised to find that the person who attacked the tiger shadow last month was now trying to "tank" the large water shadow. With a sigh, the robot tried to ignore the idiot. Summoning Dominion, the robot took up a defensive stance and cast a new spell which bolstered the resilience of those around and coming near.

Amane's eyes slowly opened as she looked up from her napping place, her desk, and out at the green sky from her window. She figured tonight was going to be another night. Amane grabbed her staff and headed on out the door. She believed she sensed it around the beach. That was quite the walk but she didn't mind...she was stronger now in more ways than one.
Amane made it to the beach. It seems like their opponent this time was this...large...slime thing. Her eyes glowed as Viviane seeped out of her body. She already noticed Persona users launching attacks at the large blob. Vivinae raised her blade toward the red core of the creature. She already knew what to do.
"Garula!" Viviane launched a spiral of air toward the slime creature, hoping it would drill through all the slime and right into the core.

I looked around as the world became covered in an absolutely abominable green substance. Which kinda sucked. A lot. I soon asked myself, what was I doing on the beach at midnight? I don't know what I was doing here at midnight, but I was already there. It was disgusting, almost nauseating to look at, but I was able to resist the temptation to gag and hurl. From the waters of the beach some sludge rose from the depths and in a contrast to the wretched green, it was a clear azure that definitely meant something. Now it was out of the waters, it began to undulate as it formed properly and a red core was exposed within it. It looked like the giant blue mass was still forming. Maybe attacking it at full force wasn't required yet. Perhaps the core would be exposed at a later time.
It was go time. I was wearing my casual pants and my shirt, since I was at the beach. It made me look a lot like those male action stars, except I wasn't quite as ripped. Though I'm pretty sure I could manage it. Isolde had arrived and opened with an ice spell. Tristan appeared and used fire. Ringo used electricity. Two strangers showed up, a boy used a defense buffing spell and the other, a young lady, attempted to use physical attacks.
I decided to test my newfound powers on a bigger target now.
I called forth Vasuki, who materialized behind me and extended each of his six arms, as I extended my two arms out forward. Balls of light formed in our palms, as we aimed and shot a total of eight beams of holy, exorcising energy at the giant azure blob.
"破邪の剣! Embrace the light of hope!"

Anna took simple, casual paces towards the sight of a new, but not entirely unfamiliar disturbance. She stared up at the sky, taking in the sudden shift the wold had undergone. Green shade over everything, clouded sky, stagnant air, humans without the potential tucked away in coffins, and of course, the full moon hanging high in the sky, shining its ominous light down on the city below. Yes, this was what they called the Dark Hour. The reports didn't just have the right idea this time. They were dead accurate. What Alisa had said held true as well. And that meant there as something powerful lurking in the city now.
Was it a shadow, or a demon? It was too early to tell.
She approached the battlefield slowly and surely, but most of all quietly. It didn't take long, since her hotel was rather close by, but she still managed to not be the first one to show up. She recognized Amane among them, although the other faces weren't familiar to her. None of them seemed like her first choice for allies, but that was not an option she had at the moment. She'd just have to trust that they could take care of themselves.
Did they notice her as she walked out onto the beach? Who knew? She wasn't paying much attention to that, so long as no attacks came flying her way. No, her attention was focused squarely on the gelatinous creature coalescing on the sand. A smile adorned her face as she hefted a rather heavy-seeming umbrella off her shoulder, holding it from within the folded canopy, and aimed it at the creature. Squeezing a trigger at her fingertips, she fired off a slug from what was definitely not an ordinary umbrella.
Graveyard, school, shopping center, shrine. As far as Pyxis or anyone she had talked to knew, those were the only four locations thus far. None before that, and the only way any could happen after the first one is if the 'Dark Hour' phenomenon occurred more often than once a month. Which...no. She'd know if that was the case. That left a few likely spots for the next one to appear, and a few...not so likely spots. Thus far, the coastline and (for the most part) the market district had been untouched. One of those two would most likely be the next battlefield. And given the pattern so far, that probably meant either the marketplace or the amusement park.
That was the reasoning Pyxis had used. Once coming to that conclusion, she'd dressed in her new Maid of the Heavens uniform, loaded up with as much ammo as she could realistically store, and headed out to wait at a spot between both of them. This ended up being at the edge of the market district, within view of the amusement park. There, she waited. But, no sooner did it reach midnight and the ominous air and frozen time settled over the city than Pyxis realized she'd guessed wrong. The ominous presence that accompanied the flow of time stopping came not from either of those locations, but from the beach. She sprung up the instant she sensed that and ran inhumanly fast towards the beach, but still wasn't the first to show up. She counted at last eight others who were already there, including Alisa, one of the troublemakers from the last couple fights, and someone entirely unfamiliar who seemed entirely too nonchalant for a fight of this level. Pyxis gave Alisa a smile, pushed any thoughts of the other two aside, then called forth Elpis. The spirit of hope shone brilliantly, as she always did when first summoned. With a thought, Pyxis directed her to open with a hailstorm of meteors, which materialized in the sky above the blob-like creature forming on the beach and rained down on it.

It was that time of the month again and Holly was ready for it. She had already changed into proper clothing, collected her weapons and anything else she wanted to bring, and was waiting by her door before the clock struck midnight. Once it did, she felt the overwhelming presence as expected. It was somewhere near the beach. Without hesitating for even a moment, she darted out of her apartment and made her way towards the beach. She heard the creature before seeing it, as loud squelching sounds echoed through the night. It didn't take her much longer to find it though because it was quite huge.
As always in these fights, her initial course was clear: weaken the enemy and figure out what to do after. As she strode into the area, her auto-buffs activated, bathing her and her allies in numerous colored lights. As that was happening, she summoned Lakshmi to weaken the large, disgusting creature.
No matter what happened, she was sure that they would be able to defeat the enemy again. Even if some people didn't cooperate, she didn't need every single person. More people just made it easier.

Once again the sky changed colors and all time stopped. Brynhild couldn't forget the battle that took place last time this happened. Somewhere in town that had to be another Shadow doing. . . whatever they did this late at night. She never figured out why this event occurred every month, but that could wait until after the monster died.
Tonight's enemy waited for his challengers on the shore. For the first time the android appreciated working at Riptide Park. Having to clean bathrooms in the middle of the night made it a lot faster to travel down to the beach. Although, with the treat already materialized she didn't have time to fetch the oversized spear. Her Persona should be capable enough to last the entire battle. Hopefully she could get through this without overheating.
Noticing the humans that made it before her, Bryn couldn't prevent her usual feeling of irritation. Ideally none of these people would have to involve themselves in this mess. They're supposed to be enjoying life doing fun activities, not fighting a war. It was her job to protect them, which only worked if they stayed out of trouble. One day, Brynhild promised, she would possess enough strength to no longer need their help.
Her performance in the battle tonight would be an accurate test of how far she has improved. The embarrassment of getting knocked out was not going to be repeated. This time around she knew what to expect. Summoning her persona, the Berserker silently drew his greatsword. The blade swung through the air and joined the other spells in attacking the weird blob.

The slime had yet to have taken its proper form, and, already, it was under attack. The lightning surged through the mass with mild effects! The pierce attack that soon followed did neutral damage! When the fire lapped at the slime, though, it caused the mass to sizzle, seeming to be very effective! Whatever damage had been done, though, was irrelevant. The ice that came replenished the lost energy! The wind and light proved to deal neutral damage. However, the strike attack seemed to just cause mild ripples on the surface- it was, for better or worse, resisted! Finally, the slash attack did what appeared to be neutral damage!
Despite the hail of attacks and hexes, the slime continued to form. Gradually, the shape became humanoid. It was definitely feminine in shape, for what it mattered with an amorphous being. The red core from before hovered in the mass, behind the chest- which was quite bountiful, if that mattered. The core pulsed, sending visible ripples throughout her form. The azure glow of the body only intensified. She gazed over the group of enemies that had come together. Her gaze said plenty. She wasn't looking at obstructions or annoyances. She was looking at pests, disgusting vermin, and her feelings on the matter were fairly clear. The demonic entity let out a quiet gurgle at first.
". . . parasites." One word summarized their nature. Truly, they were just that. However, their actions were very much like white blood cells. They were self-aware parasites, acting to remove anything that disrupted their ruinous procession.
Erubetie remained still. Her serene state erased all debuffs!
Slowly, the demon of slime raised her right arm. Though it had been entirely solid, it began to warp, creating a funnel. After pointing it to the right of the group, it seemed as though. . . well, she was doing nothing. However, that was a false alarm. After a moment, something shot out, causing an explosion in the sand. It was a shard of hardened slime, about six inches in length. Then another, shot out. Then a third. Finally, they were coming out in proper bulk. She slowly turned her stance, directing what was effectively a gun at the group. Upon contact, the group would suffer major Pierce damage! And perhaps shellshock.
Following the initial assault, the right arm lowered to her side. Meanwhile, her left raised in its place. Her fingers slowly elongated, becoming ridiculously long. Then, bending at angles impossible for a human's, the fingers began to twirl at violent speeds, whipping about and throwing sand everywhere! The four fingers had stretched out and bent around where the joints would have been on a human's finger. Everything beyond those "joints" had effective become high-speed saws that were perfectly orchestrated. No two saws made contact with each other. However, anything that passed through that space would have certainly made contact with all of them. That arm slowly stretched out before suddenly sweeping over the group! On contact, the group would suffer major Slash damage! As well as plenty of sand in bad places. Like their eyes. Or their wounds.
With the second wave of destruction concluded, the demon lowered her left arm. Her core quivered in the mass, sending out ripples again. Something was already at work.

Tristan grinned when he saw what was coming his way. He had forgot to set up buffs, but it worked out. Not only was his attack extremely effective- althogh healed... Who uses ice on an obviously water-based creature? Still, someone else had come in and managed to set up buffs. Multiple someones, actually.
So, when the water-slime started to shoot large objects, Tristan was ready. He bossted himself up using his scythe and pole-vaulted that shit. He landed with a smirk of accomplishment. He hadn't tried that stunt in months, and he was glad it worked.
Sadly, the shadow wasn't done attacking. Thankfully, it just whirled about some fingers and did nothing to the boy. With the smirk on his face still, he summoned Ifreet. He would set up another layer of Sukukaja, then go back to the offensive with some more fire.
Xain took a look around after the demon attacked. He had been hit by the Pierce attack; but his combined resistance, defense buffs, and armor pretty much made the damage non-existant. When the slashing whirlwing approached, the android simply jumped back. The demon clearly wasn't going to pursue him too far; it was too busy dealing with something occuring within itself. What didn't help was the low number of Users who had gathered. What chance did they have if only eleven had appeared to challenge the demon?
Xain was worried. However, he took account of the attacks. All of his normal attacks would have nuetral to resisted effects. He did, however, have one attack that had yet to be tried.
Summoning Dominion, the android unleashed a ball of darkness at the demon.
Aleister lowered his binoculars as he walked toward the beach. He had to punish himself for getting so into research that he forgot what was today and now he was a little late. Oh well, at least him being late helped him made some observations. One, it seems like they were fighting a monster movie reject. Two, even he will never understand the slime girl phenomenon but he isn't in any place to judge. Three, it was weak to fire. Aleister decided to make his prescense to the creature, and to everyone else, known.
"Agares." Aleister's eyes glowed as the old man and the alligator appeared. "We really got off on a bad note huh? Well, fear not, I am not here to cause trouble...well...for you." The alligator opened it's mouth to let out a giant sphere of fire to detonate on the slime body.
