Mosaic City, located along China's coast, is quite large city sometimes called the Crossroads Between Nations due to its diverse population. While it was once a large tourist spot, the city was placed under a blockade as the military appeared claiming there was a radiation leak. The true hazard, however, is much more sinister.

As I fired lasers at the enemy I noticed a strange rune below our feet, but before I could react, fierce violent winds smacked up at all of us and while the squall blades were painful at worst, what was more annoying was the goddamn sandstorm that was kicked up since we were fighting at the beach. Sand got into my eyes and it was more painful than the cutting winds themselves. Goddamn! Ouch! By the time the sand veil lowered and the winds calmed down, I noticed the slime demoness had managed to make two smaller clones of herself, one rushed towards Tristan and captured him from the leg down and I shuddered to myself as I saw it try to envelop him from the waist up.
Unfortunately, I didn't count on the other slime lunging at me and wrapping itself around my own legs, and I found myself unable to move?! Grumbling, I wriggled and flailed about in place, but the slime was rubbing itself against me and it burned, almost like acid, I gasped and squeaked in pain as I tried to bear and tank the pain, but I had felt incredibly violated by this, the slime lady's clone was certainly trying to envelop and trap me within it. Grumbling, I wriggled further.
Anna and Holly both basically expressed the most logical thing: yes, focus on the main body. While I felt rather icky getting essentially groped and harassed by a slime lady of all things, there were bigger things to worry about. Like getting burned by acid.
"Haaah! This is embarrassing! You heard the ladies!" I called out in agreement with the others and stood my ground, shivering a little as I continued spewing holy lasers at the enemies in the area.
Now there were four enemies to take care of. In theory lesser slimes should go away if the main body died; Or they would get enraged. The dangerous wind sailed over Brynhild's head as she buried herself further into the sand. Her good fortune could not keep saving her from damage, but at least she avoided her weakness. Being hit by every other element at the same time was more comfortable than that damnable wind.
Several of the other women agreed that the focus should stay on the first demon. Bryn already considered following along, but having someone else give the order made her begin immediately. Getting bossed around again by people better than her felt good.
Finally taking the time to stand up, she dusted the sand off her clothes. “You heard the girls, Berserker. Keep at it.” The summoned Persona created a new axe just for the occasion. He spun the blade in his hands before swinging at the main demon.

It was extremely rare that Setsuna was not fast asleep by midnight. On this particular night, she was studying at a friend's house and completely lost track of the time. Before they knew it, it was a quarter to 11, and said friend's parents had already said that Setsuna wouldn't be allowed to sleep over, due to them having to get up and go out early in the morning. Despite their parent's to at least give her a ride home, she insisted she could walk home. Her home wasn't fair, and she enjoyed the night air. Plus she happened to have her bokken with her, so she wasn't worried about someone trying to attack her; compared to fighting a Shadow, a random mugger didn't even sound threatening.
However, something Setsuna wasn't expecting happened. The sky turned a sickly green color, and the few people she could see outside were suddenly encased in these creepy-looking coffins. "...okay, what the fuck?..." And here Setsuna thought the world outside the border was messed up. Was this a regular thing? And if so, how had she never noticed it before? However, what got to her the most was the presence she was sensing. It was similar to those of the Shadows she had encountered previously, but on a much larger scale. Naturally, instead of doing the smart thing (i.e. ignore it and go home), she found herself compelled to follow this presence to see what it was. Perhaps it was because of her powers as a Persona user. Who knew?
Either way, she'd eventually find her way to the beach, where the battle was taking place, and it was quite the sight. A large feminine blob, a huge birdlike Shadow, and two people half-swallowed by what appeared to be smaller versions of the the feminine blob. Actually, when she got a good look at Alisa, it almost looked like she was being...BAH! This was so not the time for perverted thoughts! Either way, it was obvious that these Shadows were way out of Setsuna's league. Especially with the way there were so many Persona Users battling against them, and they still seemed to be struggling. And yet, despite her brain telling her that she should just run away and pretend she didn't see anything, she felt compelled to stay and see if she might be of any use.
Thus, Setsuna, against her better judgement, entered the fray. Taking a look around, she nodded. The main opponent seemed to be the blob. And, if RPG logic had taught her anything, using an Ice attack against a large liquid-based monster was probably a bad idea. Of course, running up and trying to hit it with her bokken was probably a bad idea as well. Thus, Setsuna knew what to do. Brandishing her Evoker, which she always kept on her except for when she was at school, she pointed it to her head and shouted out. "Undine!" A nude woman with blue skin and blonde hair appeared, though she lacked any visible nipples or genitalia, and water swirls of water surrounding her. Setsuna then called out to her. "Mazio!"
Undine immediately responded, raising her hand as small bolts of lightly immediately came down to strike each opponent in the area...hopefully, the two mini-Shadows would be damaged without harming the fighters they were latched to. Summary Setsuna arrives, then uses Mazio.

The others were starting to plan already, and Anne tried to focus on the each of them. One assured them that the newcomer would be simple, and told them to focus on the original creep. She could do that. Not long after her, another woman said that she assumed they had done this before. So, this happened often? She tried to remember if she had seen giant slime women attack the city before, but nothing came to mind. Shaking her head she frowned, “I haven’t seen a shadow like this before, but no hand holding necessary anyway. I’ll try to hold my own and put in whatever effort I can manage.”
Holding her pose steady, despite yet another verifying what she knew in that strike damage wouldn’t be much help, she focused on the slime beast. The wounds from the attacks she already received were very sandy and very painful, but some aura she couldn’t quite place that seemed to seep from the same woman announcing the creatures weaknesses made it at least bearable. Looking over to the blonde, she gave a look of gratitude as she even furthered that, with a sudden calmness enveloped her and her wounds closed. Even if this was terrifying, it was nice to not be alone this time while she fought.
As she focused, she saw the strange slime woman ready attacks again, but this time before she could even tell what exactly was happening, there were suddenly three of them. As if one wasn’t bad enough. There was at least a very obvious tell, which Anne appreciated. Before she could really retaliate, the redhead saw the shadow with the core clap her hands together. Pulling up onto the balls of her feet she tried to watch, before suddenly they were all surrounded by winds.
There was sand everywhere--she was really beginning to get sick of sand--but luckily for her she was able to see a huge gust of wind before it hit her head on and she dodged to the side, jumping into the sand to her left to avoid it. More sand in places she didn’t want it was still a better option than getting hit by that. As she pushed back to her feet, she noticed the two clones were out of her site. Furiously looking around, she saw them, but it didn’t make her very happy to have done so considering where it was they were.
She wanted to help them get free, but the others proved a valid point. The only attacks she had were to target a single creature. Nodding to acknowledge their orders she pointed, “You heard ‘em, Cery, the big one again!” The Hind’s blades were in her hands for just a second before once again they flew towards the shadow. Action: Twin Shot on Erubetie
The incredibly large amount of attacks was overwhelming for the flappy bird, causing him to fall down like a real bird being pelted by boulders. The light spells were especially damaging, but also an equivalent fuel for his anger. His momentarily weakened body seethed with dark energies, and he was tempted to show them his power by means of a large attack. There was no point, however, as he knew that letting that... not-Shadow do the big attacks was much more efficient. She had already disabled two people... in a way. Her ability to attack was also far more impressive. Whatever she was, she was pretty cool.
Hao flew up into the air again, the black-metal halo above him spinning and shining purple. It released a wave of energy upon the enemy, erasing all of the buffs that they had on at the moment. This would prove to be better for both him and the slimegirl in the long run; their attacks should be noticeably weaker than they were before. What would he do next? Hm...

The assault continued. The humans did not relent. It seemed that a focused approach would be more productive. With the surge of pure energy created by one human's Megidolaon, Erubetie's core quivered and pulsated, as if reacting to it in some special way. By that time, both of the slime's clones had been forced back. They had, since pulling away, reformed their lower halves. While Erubetie's main body focused and created a slime orb between her hands, the clones shifted behind her, to either side. The slime queen then took a moment to gaze over the field. The healer seemed to be the biggest issue. Therefore, focusing on her would be the best course of action.
Sending the orb skyward, Erubetie stood still. Immediately after the orb took flight, it exploded! The slime rain coated both the beach and the humans! Dodging will be negated for the next two turns!
Erubetie's arms stretched long and thin, shaped more like spears than proper arms. Charging forward with surprising speed, she focused on Holly! Driving both spear arms at the girl, Holly would receive major Pierce damage and have all Defensive buffs negated! Following the attack, the slime slid backwards, allowing her clones to shoot forward from either side.
Erubetie Beta's arms had morphed into sword-like appendages. Much like the main body's attack, the clone shot in with surprising speed, twirling upon drawing close enough, and slashing at Holly! Holly would receive major Slash damage and have all Evasive buffs negated! Following the attack, the slime sludged towards another human.
Erubetie Gamma's hands became ridiculously oversized, taking the shape of maces before hardening. Charging inward, the clone slammed both of her mace-hands down at Holly! Holly would receive major Strike damage and have all Offensive buffs negated! Following the attack, the clone sludged towards another human.
Erubetie Beta's lower body lost its shape before closing in on Brynhild. The clone trapped Brynhild, limiting her movement! Like before, it entrapped the victim's legs, gradually trying to pull their upper body within the mass of slime. Moderate Almighty damage will be dealt every turn until Brynhild is freed!
Erubetie Gamma performed the same action as Beta, focusing on Setsuna. The clone trapped Setsuna, limiting her movement! Having entrapped the girl's legs, the clone worked to draw the rest of the victim's body into the mass of slime. Moderate Almighty damage will be dealt every turn until Setsuna is freed!
If things continued the way they had, fortune might have yet smiled upon the battlefield.

Ringo looked over to see a gigantic bird. A shadow? Ringo pulled the spike out of his stomach that was stunning him. He was about to send Tokoyo after it but his body shuddered as he heard a loud shriek from the bird. Ringo found himself unable to speak. No matter how hard Ringo focused, he can't summon Tokoyo. Well...this was great. Thankfully, a familiar face arrived to make it so he can speak again.
"Thanks Layla." Ringo said. However he looked at the slime creating...smaller duplicates? They didn't have the cores so...just extends of its body? However Ringo's focus on them was interupted as he noticed the large green magic circle below. He found himself blown back from the gigantic wind attack created by the slime woman. By the time the sand died down he noticed Tristan and Alisa trapped by the clones. "Oh shi..."
Thankfully the others made moves to free them. However, there was a more pressing issue. The slime covering everybody and how hard it was to move around. Ringo noticed Holly the target of two attacks. He tried his best to move but the slime made it hard to.
"Dammit!" Ringo's eyes glowed. "Tokoyo!!" Tokoyo appeared and drew her sword, slashing at all of the slimes and the enemy shadow at once by sending a large torrent of slashes as she drew her sword.

Amane crawled out of the sand, wincing in pain due to all the sand that got in her wounds. However, her luck hasn't exactly improved as she was soon blown back by the huge wind spell that the lady casted. Amane slammed back on to the ground. This was not improving her day at all. To make matters worse the slime demon apparently found a friend in a avian like shadow.
Layla arrived to heal the muteness that it attempted to cause, however the slime was not relenting in its attacks. It sent two slime clones in an attempt to bind everyone. Well this was fantastic. However, the game plan seemed to use multi-targetting skills to deal with the situation...things Amane does not have. Her eyes glowed as Viviane appeared.
"Hamaon!" Viviane sent a blast of light towards the main body.
"Well that was something." Aleister crawled out of the sand. Seriously it was nothing but chaos but isn't that always the case with these little events? He stretched himself and looked at the destruction casually going on around him. The attacks actually hurt, what a surprise. Then again it was the same case with the last full moon battle...sans the slime ladies harassing people.
"I didn't want to reveal my gift to the world so early but I guess now would be a better time than never." Aleister's eyes began to glow. "Agares." The oldman raised a hand and the Alligator opened its mouth. Spewing from the mouth was a mass of purple energy that homed in on the slime ladies and the shadows. Right now attacking his allies would not do him any good amusing as it would be.

I could feel the pressure from the attacks from my allies impacting the slime lady clone currently attached to me, but after the almighty spell it looked like the thing on me was repulsed and reformed their lower halves. The main body, launched some sort of slimy orb into the air and caused it to explode, making the entire area slimy and hampering our mobility. I couldn't move at all in this goop. Soon, I watched it strike at Holly with its arms turned into spears, and one of the clones used sword-arms from its malleable arms and attacked Holly again. And for a triple header, the OTHER clone smacked Holly with giant oversized maces. I winced, wondering if she'd be alright after all that, but it looked like she could just heal off the damage.
Following that, two other girls were trapped by the slime lady clones. Groaning, I prepared myself to launch another salvo of lasers. On top of that, flappy bird of stupidness did something to dispel all of our strengthening buffs. Sigh. Regardless, I was undeterred.
Vasuki appeared alongside me again and we charged our holy lasers, but this time I was finding myself getting a little tired out. This was taking quite a toll on my body, mentally speaking. Sighing and huffing, I shot forth the lasers, the clones, the main body, and flappy bird himself would find themselves taking 2 exorcising lasers to the face. Or whatever it is they had.

Well, this had gotten messy really fast, in more ways than one. Layla felt the buildup of power from everyone's buffs vanish as the bird shadow did...something. Then, the slime lady rained bits of...well, herself, down on the battlefield, impeding everyone's movement. Dodging in this state would be pretty much impossible. Not when any step would just put her in more goo. Not that the bird had left that option available in the first place.
Layla called out to Holly after she took the brunt of several attacks. "Let me know if you need me to take over healing! I can do that now," she said. From the looks of things, she would be more valuable staying on the offensive, at least until the bird tried to silence them again or something of that nature, but she left the option open anyway. In the meantime, though, she called on Vajrabhairava to hit the group of enemies once more with the power of life and death, manifesting in an explosion of light.
Well...this was a bit troubling. From the sounds of it, at least one among them hadn't done anything like this before. Anna started to wonder why she was even there, but caught herself. There wasn't any point. She was doing fine. Another girl, one who had just showed up...well, Anna could deal with that later. She seemed out of place and confused as well, but quickly fell in and started attacking. If that changed, Anna would address it when it happened. For now, it was time to show off a bit.
At Anna's direction, Thunderbird shot into the sky and came back down over the slime lady's head. The clouds surrounding the massive Persona converged together into a funnel cloud, and with a flap of its wings they spiraled down to the ground, creating a tornado that touched down on top of the main body. Heavy winds converged on that single spot from all around, feeding into the tornado and strengthening it. It raged for several seconds, drawing off the charge that Anna had built up before.
Pyxis saw the slime and her clones all go for the blonde girl who had taken over healing duties, and made to cover her. She could take quite a few more hits than before now, and they looked like they'd all be physical in nature anyway, so there was nothing stopping her from just pushing the girl out of the way and shrugging them off. Nothing except for the slime that now coated the battlefield. No matter how much force she put into her motor functions, she just couldn't get there fast enough. That meant that dodging attacks was probably out of the question as well. Troubling. Then, of course, the bird shadow had erased all of their buffs as well. More trouble.
Needless to say, things weren't going well. Her own attacks weren't doing enough to change the flow of the battle, and yet, certain light lasers and tornadoes aside, they were among the strongest the group had. Many of their usual heavy hitters weren't present, so they would just have to make do. It would seem that she'd have to start charging her attacks for them to have much impact. Just so long as she stayed away from blunt force.
Hopefully that would get those clones to disappear, as well.
Focusing her mind, Pyxis poured energy into her Persona and her weapon systems, causing them to charge up. Elpis's already bright light intensified into a brilliant glow as the charge reached its peak. Almost...almost...

It looked like they did enough damage to get the little ones off the people they were attacking, which was good. Holly was pleased, until that damn bird cancelled their buffs. She was expecting it since it did the same thing last time she encountered it, but it was still really irritating. Hopefully the newer users would be okay. Ran wasn't here, so there wasn't an easy way to wake them back up if they fell.
Fortunately, the monster focused almost entirely on her. It hurt like hell and near tore a hole straight through her, but her armor managed to protect her enough that it wasn't quite enough to kill her. It took all her energy just to stand, but she was able to fix it. More troubling was that the mini-slimes started attacking the users she didn't recognize. Hopefully everything would go as well as last time and they wouldn't be stuck like that long. For now, she had to heal them and herself. Especially herself, she didn't want to keel over.
"I'm okay!"

At this point, Setsuna was too focused on the battle to care anymore. She had no clue why the hell such a powerful Shadow had appeared within the city, or why the sky turned such a sickly green color (although she had a feeling the two might not be entirely unrelated). All she knew was that she was now in a battle against two very powerful Shadows, and it was officially too late to do the smart thing and run away. Well, at least there were others fighting the thing, and from what she could tell, most of them were a lot more powerful than she was. Which meant that she probably wasn't going to be all that useful, but she still wanted to help nonetheless.
However, the mini-shadows decided that they weren't going to make this easy for the newcomer. Once they were forced away from Alisa and Tristan, they, after ganging up on one girl in particular and unleashing a series of brutal attacks, immediately decided to seek out new targets to try and swallow up...and, as luck would have it, she just so happened to be one of them. Almost instantly, Setsuna hated every moment of it. The only saving grace is that it didn't envelop her completely, allowing her to free the hand in which she was holding her Evoker and summon Undine to unleash another multi-target Lightning attack.
Still, she was beginning to realize how inconvenient the Evoker was. Had she not been able to free her arm just now, she would have been screwed. Soon, she was going to have to learn how to summon Undine without it. Otherwise, she was going to have a lot of trouble against opponents who used similar tactics.
