Mosaic City, located along China's coast, is quite large city sometimes called the Crossroads Between Nations due to its diverse population. While it was once a large tourist spot, the city was placed under a blockade as the military appeared claiming there was a radiation leak. The true hazard, however, is much more sinister.

The woman had concluded her search over the grounds of that final battle between the herself and the Shadow of her student. No real leads were there, unfortunately. Instead, all she found was another Shadow. She had killed it, naturally, and was on her way out. At least, she had been, up until the point that another “ripple” went through her mind. It was another Shadow- a strong one. An area guardian? Or was it, though exceedingly unlikely, one of her students? No matter how small the chance, the woman could not ignore it. Unless the probability was a definitive zero, she could not discredit the chance. And yet, despite knowing that to be a fact, she had already accepted that it would not be one of her students.
After all, things were never quite that simple.
Shirako allowed her right hand to reach across her waist, resting it upon the grip of her katana. She didn't risk summoning Yaksa just yet. She had to wait it out until she received some degree of verification on the matter. Letting out a silent breath, the woman, clad in black jeans and vest, stuck to the shadows, trying to use stealth to her advantage. If her luck with investigations was anything to go by, though, then those efforts were likely just a waste. Still, couldn't hurt to try. Especially if it was a guardian. If she could verify without being discovered, she could just pull out and leave it to others.
After all, she was there for three- now two- reasons. Saving the city was not one of them.

When it became apparent that there w3as something big going on at the hospital, Tristan decided to detour into the area. He was getting used to his new weapon and armor, so something that would be able to take a hit would be best to practice.
With a swing of the scythe, the boy took out a few weaker shadows. He made it to a higher floor and was overwhelmed by the feeling of shadow energy. Walking forward against his better instincts, Tristan came across a woman.
"Heh, are you ready for this?" the boy asked. "My guess is that this thing's gonna be pretty tough. Hmm... I wonder who else will show up?"

When he felt the awakening of a member of his family, Gin knew that there would be people to fight it. The tiger had come up with a new idea to help with training, and the awakened brother was going to help. It may be unwilling, but it was going to happen.
The tiger climbed the hospital building before reverting to human form. He was going to stay hidden until the new shadow would present itself, then attack. He would explain what he was doing as he unleashed his attack, but all he was going to do now is watch.
Sentiment had brought Pyxis back to the hospital. She found herself back on the twelfth floor before she was fully conscious of where she was going. And from there, she found her way to the spot where that battle had taken place. What might as well have been the site of Chidori's death. It had only started here, but once the battle ended, there was no stopping it. And now...Vice was gone too. Pyxis was the only one left from that battle. The only one who could carry on the memory of what had happened. She closed her eyes, and had a moment of silence for both of them.
And then, she moved on.
There was an ominous presence all around the hospital today. Pyxis had detected it the moment she entered the building, but there were more important things to do before addressing it. But now that she was done, she would go to meet it. Alone, if she had to. But hopefully, it wouldn't come to that. Just like last time, there would hopefully be others drawn to the presence, and feeling the need to deal with it. Sure enough, as Pyxis reached the floor where she sensed the shadow presence, there were at least two other, living presences nearby. She couldn't pick out who they were just from life signs detection, though. She couldn't even guarantee that they would be ready to fight a particularly strong shadow like she was about to encounter. So, she wasn't going to call attention to them. If they were prepared to join the fight, they would do so.
This fight, would hopefully, be the conclusion to the sad tale that began with the last big fight in this building. And then, Pyxis could truly finish moving on. "Move on, but never forget," she thought out loud.

Holly never spent much time at the hospital because it was kind of creepy, but she did insist on making the occasional pass through just about everywhere to check for strange happenings, any changes or any large shadows. The only exception was the sewers because that was just disgusting. Someone else could check there, she wasn't quite willing to routinely wade through poop yet. Most of the smaller shadows stayed out of her way, so it didn't take too long to do a quick pass through the area. Her diligence would be rewarded today as she sensed a powerful shadow on the upper floors, and she was feeling great today. With a grin, she raced to the upper floors to face the guardian. Perhaps she would learn something new this time?
Once she got to the general area, she simply nodded at the other people and waited for the boss to appear. She didn't really know any of them, and just barely recognized them from the battles on the full moon. Holly recognized one of them as one of the people that was attacking allies in the last battle, and while she wasn't thrilled about fighting with him, she wasn't about to call him out on it right now. Hopefully he learned from his mistakes and would not repeat them. If he didn't...well she could deal with that when the time came.

Ally had an odd feeling that something was going on in the hospital tonight. It was the same feeling she had a while ago when she visited the catacombs that one time. Ally was simply someone who trusted her intuition above all else. She felt that she needed to be here, so she showed up. With her pistol in hand, the girl climbed the stairs a bit until she noticed some people on one of the nearby floors. A group of people showed up at the same time in one area? This was starting to look really familiar.
Looking over the people present, she recognized several of them from the fight on the full moon. She didn't say anything to them. Instead, she checked the ammo on her gun, made sure the safety was off, then looked at her inventory of bombs. It all checked out of course. She was ready to rock.

*Beeeeeeeeeeeeeeep*
Flatline. The sensation that almost all of the Users felt peaked at this point. This loud, monotone ringing sliced through the air like a scalpel into the flesh of a patient. It came from the darkness beyond their vision, outside of what human eyes were capable of seeing. Shadows lived outside of human comprehension. Ironically enough, they once belonged to the humans themselves. Why could they not understand them, they who held themselves deep within the abysses of their hearts? Perhaps, the truth could be revealed under the knife? A few incisions into the heart? Would it all appear then?
Maniacal laughter and the sound of a buzz saw followed the flatlining after five or so seconds. The ground below rumbled, and the lights flicked on and off. These sounds grew louder and louder, almost deafeningly so until a large shape burst through the tiled flooring.
A Shadow has Appeared. It's the killer. Do not die.
It was a large, pitch-black skinned man equipped with a fairly standard Shadow mask and a labcoat. His torso was the only thing that came through, appearing as though he was gazing down at an operating table. A scalpel hung murderously from his right hand. Behind him? Metal arms possessing numerous instruments of death moved autonomously. The most prominent was the giant freaking bonesaw that never stopped spinning. Blank, golden eyes radiated with joy(?), and he threw back his head to release a sinister cackle.
Let the operation begin.

When others appeared to help with the the impending fight, Tristan grinned. The more, the merrier, as it were. He readied his weapon and started to hear a monitor somewhere giving a flatline reading.
The boy turned to see something burst from the floor, which Tristan begrudgingly rated as a pretty good entrance. However, he became enthralled by the shadow's appearance. It was easily the most impressive shadow he had seen, but Tristan broke from his daze.
He was sure that the doctor would at least resist slash, but he had to at least try. It was his strongest attack.
He summoned Ifreet and, with an absent-minded tug on the chain around his neck, cast Navas Nebula.

An unfamiliar beeping noise came from off to the side, to which Ally turned her head to. She wasn't sure what they were about to fight. It was too dark to see much of anything to be honest. But then the girl heard what could only be described as a saw. A bone saw. And that's when she finally saw the strange doctor shadow come out from the darkness. It seemed to be a shadowfied figure with golden eyes and armed with medical supplies. Dangerous ones. Ally made a quick choice at that moment on which weapon to open up with. She had three options. In the end though, the girl decided to opt for the strongest one in her arsenal. These of course were the girl's bombs. Pulling one out, the girl tossed it at the doctor, letting it explode. If that did't work, she always had other options available for her.

The woman just blinked when another appeared. The boy seemed complacent, even eager. Why was another even there? No, more than one. Several others, all apparently females, had approached. Was it purely coincidence, or were their senses so refined that they could feel the presence from afar? Either way, it was a curious thing. And then the source of the sensation appeared. It was. . . not a Shadow of her students. All point to her continued presence had dwindled to nothing. However, the group at least seemed mildly composed today. Perhaps lingering still would have been within her best interests? She needed leads. Letting out a quiet sigh, the woman drew her blade, simultaneously forcing Yaksa into existence. She felt her reflexes being enhanced. Not just once, either. Perhaps an initial use would be unnecessary? She would opt for offense, then.
Willing for Deathbound, the woman, still silent, sent the sword-wielding entity in. The being twirled and sent out a pulse of cutting decimation!

The sound of a life support machine echoed throughout the halls, though by the sounds of it whoever it was supposed to be helping was already dead. Not exactly a surprise given the circumstances, but Holly didn't really think anything of it. It was probably just the shadow, not an actual dead human. Moments later, the doctor-like shadow burst through the floor. Well, she had to give them credit, they always knew how to make an entrance. She narrowed her eyes, and all her autobuffs activated, bathing all her allies in several colored lights. Her regenerative aura did as well. As always, just being in her presence made everyone around her great.
Unfortunately, Holly wasn't very familiar with anyone in this group. That was both a blessing, and a curse. A curse because she didn't know what they were capable of and it would be more difficult to know exactly what she should do than it would be with Ran, Luka and Alisa. A blessing because she needed to know what these people were capable of for future battles and this was a good opportunity to do so. She had seen all of them fight before, so she had some idea, but it would be much easier to watch them with a smaller group like this. That said, there was one piece of information she had to know in order to be able to fight effectively herself.
"How many of you can heal? And how well can you heal? I'll focus on weakening the enemy for now, I just want to know how prepared I should be to switch to healing."
Without waiting for a response, she summoned Lakshmi and used Debilitate on the enemy, the first of three. There was no need to wait for a response from her allies before she did so. It's not like they needed healing right now, so waiting would just be a waste of time.

When the other shadow burst from the floor, Gin smiled and quickly changed form. He knew he would be receiving doubts about his true intentions for this, but he felt that it needed to be done. He looked around the area and saw that the people there were all female. Besides the one brat who tried to kill him.
Gin was going to enjoy "training" with that little runt.
He was going to take up healing after he took some damage, but for now Gin had a score to settle. He approached the group, but from the side of the doctor. "Hello, Users," the tiger said, grinning. "Some of you are going to hate me for this. However, I'm doing this to get a feel of how strong everyone is, as well as help strengthen everyone. That said, I'm sorry about this." He turned to face the boy who had attacked him last time they had met. "well, I'm sorry I'm attacking some of you. You, on the other hand, are gonna get what's coming to you."
The tiger then released his energy, casting his newest spell. He wanted to hurt the little brat, and only him right now.

A flatline? That was the sound one of those life support machines made when a human's heart stopped beating, right? Pyxis was vaguely familiar with that sort of thing. It was a cruel thing to hear in this place, but sadly, very appropriate. And then the shadow appeared. It appeared to be a fairly ordinary humanoid shadow...or would have if not for the array of metal arms and cutting implements. Some of those things looked like they could cut through machinery. That was...less than comforting. But Pyxis stood her ground, summoning Elpis and priming her weapons. A surge of power spread through her own systems and radiated over her allies as well.
"I can heal, but only weakly," Pyxis said when the blonde woman asked about it. "I'll just stick to attacking." And then something unexpected, and rather unpleasant happened. A certain tiger shadow appeared on the scene, expressing in no uncertain terms that it was going to attack them.
Whatever excuses it made, it was still intruding on a fight with a strong shadow and attacking on its side. That was all the confirmation that Pyxis needed. "It seems my assessment was correct after all, 'Gin'. Either it was your intention to feed on our internal conflict all along, or you really are just a 'colossal dumb', to borrow another's words. Whatever the case, you are an enemy. I'll keep that in mind for the future." With that, falling rocks rained down from above, aimed at both Gin and the bonesaw doctor.

His shift was apparently with the uncooperative ones, laying down whatever kind of siege they believed they would be able to hold against him. Where was the security staff? Oh, just that tiger? How feeble of a defense. It was all on the poor doctor to proceed with the operation, with or without their cooperation. Among their attempts to resist, there were slash-type attacks send down upon him. Hmph. So what if they dealt neutral damage upon him? Next up was a good, hard strike attack. Two of them. Ow. They hurt... a whole lot more than those slashes.
Annoyed, the doctor held his large scalpel out above them, its silver surface caked int the blood of who-knows-who? His eyes decided between the Users, before deciding on stabbing down upon Holly. It would cut harshly upon her, causing her some severe pierce damage.
The treatment was not over. No, no... it can't be over yet. One of the robotic arms behind him aimed its giant buzzsaw in front of the targets, holding it still for a second as if to taunt them. There was flesh in the way of the affected zone. Flesh AND bone! As he himself was bound to whatever regulation he was given, it was procedural to go forward with the bone saw. In one slow slice, it crossed over every single one of his enemies, dealing major slash damage on all of the Users.
Woops. He forgot about the antibacterial. Thankfully, he had a giant spray bottle of that in his sixth arm. As the buzzsaw retreated, the large spraygun was aimed at their general direction. What's next? Oh, he'd spray it on them and keep every wound nice and cl- what?! This was poisonous in such large doses? It was too late; the green gas was emitted from the nozzle. The doctor placed his hand on his face, embracing the mistake with more crazed laughter. Holly and Shirako have been poisoned!
It felt much better to see his mistakes become reflected upon his patients. In fact, it revitalized him to see the illness upon their young bodies. It necessitated further treatment.

Tristan was upset. First, the fucking cat Gin showed up. Then it had the nerve to fucking attack him with light. Sure, Tristan wasn't weak to it; it still fucking hurt! Third, it had claimed that it was all for training! Had the boy currently been in the right state of mind to recognize irony, he would have seen this as karma for him attacking Phoebe. However, all he was currently was pissed.
His mood improved when he had took no damage from the crazed doctor, but Tristan was still mad. He summoned Ifreet and prepared another Navas Nebula. He wanted to cut into the filthy shadows, who dared try to attack him.
