Mosaic City, located along China's coast, is quite large city sometimes called the Crossroads Between Nations due to its diverse population. While it was once a large tourist spot, the city was placed under a blockade as the military appeared claiming there was a radiation leak. The true hazard, however, is much more sinister.
A few choice thoughts ran through Vice's mind when he could feel the tremors of the building around them begin to increase after that disastrous chain of attacks. Sure, none may have hit him directly but it didn't mean that he wasn't going to get hurt because of it either. Before anything else could be done, everyone else had seemed to begin unleashing all their attacks at the opponent in some kind of last ditch to take it down before it takes down the auditorium.
He couldn't make a call right now, the auditorium shaking as it is and Vice had no idea about just where the first chunk of debris would start falling. With a grunt, the young man himself then summoned Arondight into the fore and, pulling a mental trigger, had his persona unleash a Mudoon against the beast. No surrender, no retreat.

Sayu was a bit cautious of just about every motion the enemy made. She was not going to allow herself to be grabbed by that beast's tentacles again. However, rather than a flurry of squishy appendages, what came was a storm of swords. The Shadow was a horrible shot, however. Waves fluttered by with no effect, vastly off-chart. However, one homed in on her. It was just high enough that she could not safely jump while in heels. It was just low enough that she could not duck under it in time. Taking the blow and stumbling backwards and onto her rear, the mute let out a ragged breath before prepping herself and willing for flames.
”Tamamo, Agidyne! Burn it down once and for all!” Needless to say, the fury behind the mute's “words” was evident.

The Shadow was pretty mad now it seemed, and it was most likely the auditorium would cave and crumble on its own foundations from how rough the fight was. ...For the Shadow, anyway. That said, it had released a combination attack, I was hit twice, causing me to stumble and almost fall over... That really should have hurt way more than it did, but it was still somewhat painful. Got any bright ideas, Miss Sherlock? I sighed, gritted my teeth, and then heard the strange girl who had spent a good chunk of the fight asleep saying that everyone should drop pretense of safety and unload. I would have concurred with the idea if not for the fact she was being awfully rude about it, which was deliciously ironic considering she spent the start of the battle asleep and contributing absolutely jack shit. My right arm now smelt of burnt napalm as I forced myself to charge another spell again. This is going to be the last time I let you do that today! It's alright. Man, don't blame me if you blow up your circuits... I won't.
I shot another bolt of electricity, at the Shadow, and hopefully in conjunction with everybody else's attacks, the Shadow would finally fall. And then we'd get the hell out.

As the giant shadow began unleashing its wave of desperate attacks, Chidori thankfully managed to avoid being hit, only to be thrown a little off-balance by the imminent danger of the building's collapse - or rather, the danger of it should they not take this thing out before it could do any more structural damage. It was a pretty obvious notion, which made the blonde's (who had spent most of the battle asleep anyway!) verbal lashing out even more ridiculous. Gritting her teeth however, she pushed the anger into a driving desire, harnessing Juno's power with little effort. Might as well hit it for all we've got. If it doesn't go down, we will. Healing can come after... The equivalent of mental smile flashed across her mind as her facade, her evolved princess persona, agreed with the course of action, harbouring a column of light for a few moments as it built in intensity. Once it peaked, she unleashed it upon the cleaver girl, her hairpin glinting in synchronisation.

As if Layla needed any more proof that the shadow was getting desperate and acting frantically because of that, no sooner had she gotten her own attack off than it went into a wild flurry of attacks. It slashed in all directions, desperately attempting to hit the group with everything it had. Between their own agility being enhanced and its agility being badly reduced, it had a poor time, but still managed to catch quite a few people. Layla managed to avoid the first strike coming her direction, but in doing so only managed to dodge straight into the second. She fell to the ground in the wake of the attack, allowing the third to pass safely overhead. Pain spread through her body, but it wasn't enough to keep her from noticing a more definite thread: the shadow's wild attacks were also damaging the building itself. And now, in the wake of so many of them, she felt the foundation itself shift under her.
She shot a sidelong glance at the girl who rudely proclaimed that the roof was going to collapse, but decided not to comment on it. To say she could have put it nicer was a massive understatement, not to mention the fact that several of them would probably be dead by now if nobody had been healing, but she had a point. Now, they all had to focus on the shadow or else it was going to bring the building down on them.
"Once more then, shall we," Layla said. Power welled up within and broke free as Yamantaka materialized behind her. Much like last time, she was going strong on pure adrenaline, but even with that she was starting to feel the strain of using her persona so much at once. Whatever happened, this would definitely be the last time she could do it tonight. She called down one final lightning strike, then immediately started to look for a good place to take cover if the roof collapsed anyway.
Post by Jaelyn Callahan on Feb 21, 2014 0:27:51 GMT -5
While Jaelyn was very close to blind rage by that point, even she managed to stop as she noticed the building shift as three massive attacks cut through everything they could reach. All three managed to miss her, but none of that would matter if the building fell on top of her. A normal person's first instinct would have been to get out, but much like (it seemed like) everyone else present, Jaelyn wanted to see this shadow dead.
Then, the girl who had been sleeping through the first part of the fight called out for everyone else to stop healing and finish it before the roof collapsed. Which...well, she was right, but did she really just call everyone dumbasses after sleeping through so much of it? "Shut up," she hissed. "Maybe we'd already be done if you weren't taking a nap earlier."
Ignoring any potential retort, Jaelyn turned her attention back on the shadow. As much as she wanted to just stab it to death, her magic-based attacks did seem to be stronger, so she switched gears as she summoned Andras again and conjured a mass of darkness in his hands. "Die now," she whispered as she let the burst of dark energy loose on the shadow.
The words of Pyxis's allies were not completely blocked out, even while she was fighting. To do so would be to potentially miss valuable insight or proposed battle tactics. But the blonde, sleepy girl said something that she most definitely did not need to hear. While it was true, in the wake of the last attack that they needed to go all out or else risk a second flurry like the last (or worse, the building collapsing as she said), she clearly had no understanding of battle tactics if people were 'dumbasses' for healing.
Heck, the last time Pyxis had even heard those two words together, it was someone in an MMO she was playing calling people dumbasses for not healing.
The building collapsing had plenty of issues of its own, though. While most of the fallout would fall on the staff or the student council, there was very little doubt that, as part of the organization, some of it would reach her eventually. At best, that would cut deeply into her video game time. At worst...well, she didn't want to think that far at the moment.
So, she followed the rude girl's advice. While a few of them had been hit by the flurry of slashes (herself included, although she managed to avoid the first one), nobody was in such critical condition that she couldn't simply attack. Pandora emerged from her mind at her command, materializing behind her and holding her cylindrical box in outstretched arms. The lid was pushed aside as a massive ghastly hand emerged, curled up into a fist, and threw an impressive right hook straight at the shadow's face.
Crimson flecks of blood adorned what little remained of the crumbling auditorium's floor as the cold steel of the shadow's cleaver met with Takeda's soft flesh. One blow managed to get him right across the chest, the other hit his left arm with enough force to where he could practically swear he saw bone jutting out. Needless to say, the red haired asian was not the happiest camper, but somehow he managed to keep standing after the strikes connected with him. After making a mental note that A. That hurt like a bitch, and B. Leather Jackets weren't exactly grand at deflecting sharp blades held by giant schoolgirls, he looked up at the thing with the same sort of anger he had at the beginning. Hell of a way to wake up to the day, after all, worry about finances, get your rib cage busted in, then, get cut up. Well, the rib problem seemed to ease up with the earlier bit of healing done by none other than the 'girl' next to him, but the slash? That seemed to break everything all over again...there'd be time to thank her for the healing after he singed the face off of the rabid cunt in front of him who just made him lose a few pints of blood. Faust loomed over it's master, wounds mimicking his own adorning the mage's chest, save for the fact that the blood it leaked was almost monochrome in terms of how it looked, before sensing his intent, forming another ember in it's hand that blossomed into a radiant ball of fire that was soon thrown at the side of the shadow, hopefully, it'd be brought down from the subsequent blast of his, or the other's attacks. The blondes were right, if they didn't kill it soon, the whole place would come crashing down on their heads...while thinking about it with a scowl on his face, directed towards the huge motherfucker that hit him, Takeda just hoped that this thing was in just as much pain as he was.
The shadow continued its assault on the humans without a break in between. If it could collapse the building, it might be able to bring all of these users down with it. If that were to happen, there may be nobody left to defend the city after that.
And so the shadow continued to thrash about, causing the ceiling to crumbled bit by bit. Along the way, it sustained several blows. More than several blows, actually. It seemed that everyone decided to attack the boss. Because of everyone's combined attacks, it damage was just enough to causing the shadow to lose control. With a single bad movement, the shadow accidentally slices off its other arm causing it to shriek in pain.
The tentacles that made up its skirt began to squirm around the room violently as the remaining had continues to swing the cleaver mindlessly. But eventually, the large beast of a schoolgirl falls. It then wastes no time dissolving into nothing.

Tristan watched as the giant thrashed in agony. It had been attacking wildly, and apparently chopped off it's arm. Tristan backed away, still coughing up blood. He managed to bring forth Pyro Jack one more time and to cast "Dia." While it wasn't a permanent fix, it would do him some good. He saw the shadow fall then dissipate. He breathed a sigh of relief. He then looked around.
He took some faces into account, such as Isolde's or the guy who destroyed the smaller shadows and protected him. He considered saying something to either of them, but he understood that this wouldn't be the best of times. Sighing, he walked out of the school quickly, trying to leave before the building collapsed onto him. He picked up a little bauble on the way out, not paying much attention to it but placing it in his pocket.

The Shadow accidentally cut a bitch. That is, it cut itself. Sayu grinned slightly, making sure it fully dissolved, before finally turning around and weakly walking away. She wouldn't have minded staying and thanking the one that freed her from the tentacles, but she really did not want to linger any more than necessary. She wanted to get clean. The sensation of germs crawling over her flesh and trying to burrow into her pores was enough to make her want to curl up and die. Waiting any longer would just aggravate her and make her sick. She needed to wash, and she needed to do it soon. Hugging herself and gripping her phone, she left the auditorium, making her way out of the campus through the hole in the fence she had made earlier.

With the conflict then over, Nisha felt herself becoming a bit nervous, being around all her allies. Where she had been so calm in the face of danger before, she was quickly becoming anxious and uneasy. Opting to leave rather than to stay, she started to turn before a crowbar smacked onto her head. The impact would have likely taken down a normal person, but she just winced, feeling her eyes water slightly, before plucking the new weapon up. It seemed to be of particularly good quality. She'd need to test it out later. For the present, though, it was time to get out of the area before the building collapsed. Or before people started talking to her.

Amane sighed in relief as she watched the shadow slice itself apart and start to dissipate. It was finally over. She winced in pain as she once more raised a hand to command Silky to use Dia on her wound. She took a large deep breathe of relief as the wound slowly started to heal. Though now she has a huge tear on the side of her shirt. Not a big deal in the grand scheme of things though she wondered what she was going to do with it. She didn't exactly want her parents hassling her about this.
Amane waved her hand once more to dismiss her persona as she walked up to Ran. She would ask about Ran's strange persona but she had bigger concerns. She observed Ran to see if she had any wounds on her. Despite dismissing Silky earlier, Amane's persona card started to appear and float above her hand as she walked over.
"Anywhere it hurts Ran? My Persona is more for magical combat but she can heal too..."

Ally simply backed up as the shadow began to go berserk. Seems that did it in. With a smirk, the girl stretched a bit. What a pain. . . Right as I was heading to bed too. The girl had just returned from a long expedition in the outer circle only to come back to her old school to fight some sort of "boss shadow." Such a pain. With a tired sigh, the girl walked out of the building, not really paying heed to anyone. Ah. . . Good job guys. See you all for the next one. The girl waved behind herself tiredly as she left, yawning afterwards. She was honestly quite impressed with the strength of some of these users. Even if they did rely on their personas, they proved to be formidable.
As for her comment on the "next time," the girl honestly didn't have a clue if there was to be a next time. But if there was? She was sure that she would be more than prepared next time. On that note, the girl when straight home where she would undoubtedly fall straight asleep.
Were it not for the huge gash across his chest, and his fucked up arm, Takeda would've likely laughed his ass off at the sight of the huge monster slicing it's own arm off. In lieu of that? He just bore a grin a mile wide as it thrashed about on the ground...there was always something so satisfying about shit like this, especially when it came to shadows that fucked themselves up. While the thought did occur to him that it was possible the next Dark Hour would involve some monster standing straight up, and accidentally falling into some sort of woodchipper, the pain, loss of blood, well, those clouded the humorous thought. Clutching at his chest, he looked over at the girl next to him, then over at Dave, behind him. Whitey did a good job, kid did a good job, and Vice...well, he expected more action movie worthy stuff from him, but he still did well. Why was he focusing on how well everyone did? Blood kept on flowing from the slashes on his body, and things were getting a bit hazy in terms of how it looked. "Well...it's dead...there's that." He muttered under his breath before kneeling down, Faust radiated a green bit of light, and laid it's hand upon his shoulder...wasn't much, Dia, but it'd be enough to at least make things start clotting right until he could get some real help. "Now...'bout that drink..." he started in between a few pained gasps, "Raising my blood alcohol level requires me to still have some blood left, so that'll have to wait."
