Mosaic City, located along China's coast, is quite large city sometimes called the Crossroads Between Nations due to its diverse population. While it was once a large tourist spot, the city was placed under a blockade as the military appeared claiming there was a radiation leak. The true hazard, however, is much more sinister.

With the breaks in effect, Luka was able to focus on taking down these enemies. There were quite a few of them now it seemed. The shadow Akira was fighting managed to miss her thankfully. However, she had to dodge the almighty attack that came from that other shadow. From there things were simple for her. She would charge up her attack and blast them all down with darkness. Rinse and repeat. At least, that was what she hoped.
As the shadow began to prepare for some powerful looking attack, Luka watched as the boss was assaulted by some sort of wolf-like entity. Within moments, the thing that they were fighting was utterly destroyed and replaced with a new target. But something was off about this thing. This was no shadow. At least, it didn't feel like one. Focusing her attention on the new threat, Luka continued to charge up for an attack. As she was doing this, she noticed the new threat let out an electrical attack. While attempting to dodge it, Luka noticed something. The buffs were gone again. Thinking back a moment, it may have been that howl that did it. Bracing herself after taking the electrical attack, Luka continued to prepare herself for another strong attack. This time, she would finally be hitting something. She would be hitting all the enemies.

Shirako winced slightly as the pure energy slammed into her. It wasn't anything to worry about too much, considering the protective energies brought on by the support from the others, but it was still a powerful attack. More than that, enemies swapped. Rather, a new opponent appeared, ripping the god apart. Instead, they were left with a wolf. A wolf that dispelled their beneficial spells. Well, that was that. And then came lightning. Now, the woman could have attacked, but there was no telling what this wolf's resistances were. Instead, she'd contribute to the total effort with something that would decrease their damage intake. Marginally.
”I'll increase our speed again, then. Might as well try.” She noted simply before willing for Yaksa to utilize Sukukaja. Simple and to the point.

One didn't need to be a tactician to know that everything is falling apart. Ringo wasn't sure if he should say anything. The forces are split and attacks are just flying everywhere. Not to mention...to make matters much worse...Ringo heard Tristan's voice. He was the one causing trouble for Phoebe after the last full moon wasn't he?
"Hey, Gin?" Ringo noticed his line of sight toward the shadow. "Didn't I tell you last month that the next time I saw you, we would be enemies?" Ringo's eyes widened. Is he really going to...?! "Megidola."
"Tristan!" Ringo had to step back as the attacks were fired. Great, this was really getting out of hand.
"Kid, what the hell?" Ringo looked over at the shadow. As expected he wasn't happy. "What, are you pissed at me 'cuz your buddy died? Too fucking bad! Death is going to happen, and don't kid yourself and say it isn't. Now then, you need to be taught a lesson. You ready?" Ringo's eyes began to glow, Tokoyo appearing above him. Ringo didn't care about his chances he had to find a way to break this up.
"Use everything you've got. He wouldn't accept anything less!" The glow went away as he heard that voice. Oh shi...! Ringo's negligence in regards to Vice...or rather the Shadow that looks like Vice caused him to get hit by his next attack. Because of that thankfully he managed to avoid getting hit by that shock wave unleashed by that turtle like armored guy.
"How could things get..." Ringo's eyes widened when he heard a loud sound roar through the area. He looked over to see a large white wolf. He looked over at it. Was it an enemy? What in the world is it? Ringo quickly scanned the wolf. It didn't seem like a shadow. The wolf however, unleashed a great bolt of electricity, hitting everyone. HE shuddered as he endured the pain of being electrocuted. "This is...the worst..." Ringo stabbed his sheathe into the ground to push himself up. Everything was falling apart. With out dysfunctional the group is, there was no way they can defeat all of these enemies.
"EVERYONE! CALM DOWN!" Ringo recognized that voice. He turned over to see Holly's persona transform. Persona evolution. Ringo felt himself covered by the light the persona produced. He could feel strength slowly return to him. "I'm glad you all took my request so seriously, but this isn't what I had in mind! Did you all forget why we were here in the first place? The entire city is in danger. We don't know what'll happen if we let the city stay like this for too long, and we can't afford to leave what's likely causing it alone!" Holly pointed over at the enemies. "Unless any of you have any insight as to what else could be causing this, the fact that there are no other ridiculously strong presences suggests that the thing we need to eliminate is standing right in front of us and it isn't the sentient shadows! If this thing is as strong as the other enemies we've faced on the full moon, and it probably is considering it just bit the thing we were just fighting in half, then it will take all of our power combined to take it down. Don't let losing someone, don't let a single shadow's victory make you lose your will to fight!" Ringo looked over at Vice. Was that what happened to him? Ringo shuddered as he watched Holly walk between Tristan and what he assumed to be Gin.
"Finally, we need to fight as one group, one unit. Any personal problems between allies can be dealt with after the battle. We are fighting three very powerful foes, we cannot afford to have any infighting or other hindrances making us weaker as a team. Knock it off." Holly wondered if it was a good idea since they were hell bent on killing each other..."We're stronger together. That's the lesson Vice was unable to learn. Whether it be in battle or out of battle, use your allies for support and work with them to become stronger than anyone could ever imagine. Let's destroy these things."
"I have nothing to add to that, save to remember, we are this city's hope. Nobody's going to miraculously replace us if we die here or run away. So stay strong, but don't go dying on me here either. We've already lost enough."
"”Something apparently happened in the two months I didn't bother showing up. 'cause, it's seeming like someone made blondie the golden king. Bitch. Shut the fuck up." Apparently Sayu was not in agreement."Everyone here came for themselves or for an extension of their own interests. If shit gets tough, they'll run, regardless of what you say! Moving on, no fuck it's not a Shadow, you damn maid-cosplaying apple-headed idiot!”
"Oi DJ!!" Ringo for once looked a touch frustrated that Holly's words fell on deaf ears but he noticed someone beginning to speak...and the click of a gun.
"The only thing polluting the airwaves is this poisonous fog. I think you should be aware of reality...but then again...you use that thing to escape the fact that you don't have a voice..." Ringo right away raised his sheathe so that it blocked the line of fire. They was a piece of good news and bad news. Due to the fact that it was enforced to be used as a secondary weapon, it wasn't completely destroyed...the bad news is that cracked from the shot and it was now in danger of falling apart.
"Oi, what's wrong with you?!" The man only shrugged in response. "Now isn't really the time!!" For once, frustration was present in Ringo's voice. His eyes began to glow as he summoned Tokoyo. He raised his sheathe to signal his persona to take care of the rest, she unleashed a wave of slashes upon all the enemies.

The assault on Vice's killer was interrupted by phoebe. Her interference served little to calm John down but it distracted him enough to see the large shadow calling forth a thick dark mist. Sensing this mist to be deadly beyond all compare, John stopped his assault at least for the moment to move away from the lethal miasma. In his retreat, several other attacks from the shadows whizzed past him, though both missed him by quite a wide berth. The miasma was drawin closer to him and the other users. It looked like this was the end when out of nowhere, some sort of giant canine came out of nowhere and muled the boss, instantly killing it.
The fog dissapating along with the fallen deit, John turned to what he presumed was a new ally. This assumption proved wrong when the hound immediately drained everyone of their buffed powers and blasting everyone with lightning. One of the bolts arced out to john and hit him in the upper torso, then arcing further down his body and down into the ground. The shock left John spasming about in pain. Once he recovered however, he could hear the same voice that had announced Vice's death shouting for everyone to calm the hell down.
John looked over to her as something weird happened to her persona, he had heard things about one's persona being able to 'evolve' as it was. It seemed like he was to bear witness to this phenomenon tonight. The light washing over him and the rest filled his body with energy, He could still feel the electric burns, but the pain had been alleviated slightly. The blonde woman continued with a speech, John listened to it, wondering why the shadows hadn't already taken this oppurtunity to start cutting some poor distracted shmuck down. Her words were inspiring, her message soothed John's rage. Ippon-Datara hovered besides him. She was right. A single victory for the shadows did not mean the war had been lost. John himself had also almost lost himself just now. He turned towards the shadows with newfound purpose, commanding Ippon-Datara to strike at all of them with a wave of darkness. His previous rage had piped down into cold-blooded determination. He would strike down the enemy... For Vice.

A lot of things happened all at once, and Layla had some trouble sorting through the whole of it. The winged shadow seemed almost like it was encouraging them to keep fighting instead of trying to break their spirits. The angry hammer-wielding shadow was still angry and attacking everything. Both of them hurt, a lot, but Layla had been through worse at this point. She'd be fine. The cursed god, or rakshasa, or whatever it was prepared something that looked suspiciously like a finisher, only to get torn apart by some kind of wolf. A wolf that felt like and was stated that it wasn't a shadow. But still an enemy. Holly's Persona changed, much like Layla's had once before, and she tried to rally everyone together. Another girl derided Holly's speech in a very unpleasant manner. But fortunately, amongst it all, her wounds were healed. The girl who had done the healing, Ran, apparently, called for someone to cure status effects.
"On it!" Layla responded. Again, Vajrabhairava raised its skull cup high and poured out a sample of the Amrita elixir over the battlefield, calming those who had been enraged by the hammer-wielder's attack. Layla, meanwhile, wanted to get back to attacking soon. But if this was what she needed to do to ensure that everyone made it through the fight, she could deal with that.

Well, the good news was that his attack connected and seemed to do some amount of damage to the foreboding Shadow. At the very least, he wasn't powerless. However, attacking up close meant he'd have to tap dance for a while to dodge the Shadow's next slew of attacks. Not to mention the other enemies on the field...
Speaking of which, the winged Shadow cried out something inaudible before launching another blast at the group. Whether it was thanks to the buffs or the fact that Kaitou was separated from the Users, he managed to evade its scorching wrath. "Christ, I'd best get back to the group before--"
Too late! The temper-tantrum Shadow released a ground-shaking attack with its hammer, the force of which easily swept over Kaitou, knocking him down to his knees and forcing the air out of his lungs. It felt like his grandfather had just jabbed him in the gut during a spar, which was... surprisingly tame for an attack of that magnitude. 'Wait, right. There are protection buffs layered on me right now. That's why it only hurts this much.' Thank god for the buffs then, yeah? With a grunt, Kaitou brought himself back to his feet, stepping back a few feet from the Corrupt God as it began to make its move.
Within seconds, the noxious haze that burdened the battlefield was once again gathered, but this time towards Kaitou and the rest of the Users. As it darkened into a black cloud around him, the brunette could feel the death's chill shroud him like a black cowl. Whatever this attack was, it likely wouldn't be shrugged off by the protections cast on the group, and even though he was a fair ways away, the smoke seemed to split off just for him. Wonderful.
However, as the miasma was about to overtake everyone, a great hound shot through it, whizzing past Kaitou and charging straight onto the Shadow. It wasted little time in crushing the creature with its maw, sending beams of light cascading across the field. What the hell was that thing? Was it a friend or another enemy joining the fray? Whatever it was, he could only be certain that it was not a Shadow...
'I'd best get back to the group. I'm the closest one to the shrine right now, and if this thing isn't on our side...'
As he began to turn around, the creature reared up and let loose a fierce howl... and suddenly, Kaitou felt like a lead brick trying to haul itself along. A brief moment of confusion flickered in his mind before dreadful realization settled. The pulsing glow emanating from his body had faded when the beast howled, and now he felt sluggish.
It had cancelled out the effects of the buffs.
It wasn't an ally at all.
'Shit.'
In seemingly slow motion, Kaitou watched as lightning danced across the menace's fur before exploding in a wave that covered the entire battlefield-- with him getting the first taste. Pain shot through his body like wildfire, and the force of the blast sent him flying several yards back before landing tumbling along the ground near the Users. Kaitou's vision turned white, and through the ringing in his ears, he could but barely make out a woman's voice yelling over the commotion...
But it did not matter to him, for all he could process was burning agony... and before long, his body shut down in response to the overload of electricity.
Post by Tatsuma Kirihara on Apr 19, 2014 2:36:52 GMT -5
So much for group mentality, Tatsuma thought. Even a gang had more team play than these guys here – or well, some of these guys here. When he first arrived, he assumed they were working together, but it started to make it clear that some of them were selfish to the point they would attack another of the same side instead of the obviously evil and looming shadow. Just great.
The attack of the winged shadow and the blonde, angry man missed him completely, which made him give a satisfied grin. If this keeps up, he won’t have to worry about being unable to take hits. However, what the corrupted god started to build up, the dark miasma enveloping them all made him uneasy. That doesn’t seem good at all.
He didn’t have to worry about it though, as a wolf-like creature passed the users and launched at the shadow, tearing it to shreds and effectively destroying it with a single attack. That was a tell-tale sign of the newcomer creature, but of its intentions, Tatsuma was unsure. Right, it destroyed the shadow, but it was too good to be true. And that creature felt weird anyway, and his suspicion was confirmed when one of the users present said it wasn’t a shadow.
Tatsuma looked at the creature. The way it perched on the shrine in all of its glory made it resemble a god. Or the protector of the shrine. That was just great, pissing off a creature like that.
When the blonde girl started shouting and talking to make the users calm down, Tatsuma could empathize with her. He was rolling his eyes at the people jumping at each others throats when the enemy was clearly in front. That was a ticket to the grave, and he somewhat appreciated her mindset. He was a punk, but even he saw the most important thing here. Kill the opponents, not each other. But she was talking too much. He was surprised nothing attacked her while she was giving that long-ass speech, seriously. However, he could see her persona change right before his eyes and felt his energy and stamina grow. Well, that was nice. He didn’t know that all was possible.
He was half-tempted to shout “shut up and attack already” at the surrounding users, but he decided against it. These guys were deaf right now.
The wolf’s howl, that was similar to his Behemoth, stabbed through him, and he could feel his power and speed leaving his body. The battle power he felt when arriving at the shrine was gone, and he knew that meant the boss had the ability to remove their buffs. Just when he was thinking about whether it could get worse, the electrical attack came and knocked him to the ground. Luckily, it wasn’t deadly, but its sheer force was enough to drain Tatsuma’s help. Breathing heavily he looked around, and saw that this force was enough to at least knock one of them out.
Shit.
He rushed to the side of the fallen human. Hell, he didn’t know him, but he fell at a really bad spot. It would be dangerous to leave him here, unless they wanted to see blood splatters on the shrine’s ground. He dragged the fallen away, Behemoth right at his side and looking out for incoming attacks. This was bad. Without their power and with the new enemy, they didn’t know what to expect. He felt a refreshing wave again and knew someone took care of the healing too.
Right, they had to figure out what the resistances of the boss were. He could see darkness and slashing attacks be aimed at the wolf, so he saw no point in attacking with his own right now. However, despite what the black haired girl with that succubus persona said, it wasn’t meaningless to buff them back up. It would give a chance to part of the users to attack with greater strength, and if the wolf was to remove it again, that would mean at least it wouldn’t have the chance to attack them as much.
Behemoth responded without Tatsuma needing to say anything. With a howl of its own, matching the wolf’s perched on the shrine, his persona raised the attacking power of the good guys.
"Keep attacking! And preferably not each other, you fuckers!"
Hell, he was getting pissed too.

Post by Jaelyn Callahan on Apr 19, 2014 3:01:52 GMT -5
The next burst of energy managed to miss Jaelyn, but she ended up running right into the angry hammer-wielder's attack. She winced as the pain spread through her body. Pain she couldn't appreciate due to the threat to her well-being. She turned her attention towards the winged shadow as it spoke. In her mind, the tone seemed almost mocking. Use everything she had? She was. But as usual, it wasn't enough. "Shut...the fuck up," she said, her voice strained. "I'll kill you...I swear I'll kill you..."
Then, as usual, things managed to get worse. The evil god shadow's attack, whatever it was, was probably something she could deal with. It looked dark-oriented. She could handle that. But then, some other thing came in, and one-shotted the damned thing. "Wha...what?" Jaelyn stammered, watching the display incredulously. Just like that. Just like that. What was even the fucking point anymore?! Urgh, to hell with that thing, she was just going to stab the winged shadow until it stopped moving. But Jaelyn had only taken a step towards it, knives in hand, before the new arrival shot out an electrical surge. Jaelyn tried to dodge, but found that her ability to do so had been taken from her. What?! Where did all that power that had built up when she arrived go?! With no choice but to take the attack, Jaelyn was thrown back to the ground. She turned towards the wolf thing, only to find it standing right over her and slashing her with its claws.
No. That was it. She was done. She was so fucking done. Her vision was fading. She was probably bleeding badly from where the wolf had hit her. The pain was making it impossible to think. She couldn't stand. She couldn't even move. She was going to die here, she was certain of that. In the end...she really was that weak. Why? Why was there nothing she could do? Why did it always end like this? It had happened at least twice before, now. Both times, when she encounted the shadow of her mother. Both times, she had to be saved by something else. Even if the first of those was by her own Persona, she had been about to die without it. And now...there was nothing. Sakuya wasn't here. Luka hated her now. Setsuna wasn't here either, and probably wouldn't have been of much help if she was. No one was going to help her. No one would care if she died...
But then, miraculously, all of the pain faded. She felt her strength returning, and her wounds healing. She stood up again, looking around. Who...? No, it didn't matter. All that mattered was that she was still here. She turned back towards their enemies. "I'm not...that weak..." she repeated. Despite being fully healed, her eyes were still wide, and her voice still panicked. But then, it hardened for long enough for her to add "And I'll be damned if you tell me I am! Die!" Focusing on the wolf that had put her in such a state, she called down a large fireball on it. It wasn't as strong as the one she'd managed to drop on the evil god after taking away its resistance to it, but in her current state there was no way she would be able to focus enough to charge one like that.
Post by Ayakura Alisa on Apr 19, 2014 3:26:50 GMT -5
Another energy burst from the winged Shadow that took over Vice. It hurt quite a fair bit, I think, but I still felt the power from the Heat Risers weather the blow a lot, so it hurt surprisingly less than I had expected. However, the Shadow seemed to utter words of encouragement, trying to rile up my allies even more. This was bad, considering a good majority of them started becoming terribly enraged and wrapped in their emotions. Just what had Vice done with these people to make them so invested in him that they would charge blindly at the Shadow for revenge? This was not the right approach! Regardless, I couldn't focus too much on that. Mr. Anger Management also known as the Golden Turtle of Eternal Rage, continued to focus his attention on Ran, uttering more strange obscenities. He seemed adamant on literally rearranging her face. The others I reckon he considered as collateral. Once again he released his rage; everyone was not spared, even the corrupted deity of a Shadow was not spared.
Good thing I was immune to the attack and its side-effect of pissing people off anyway! But no, bad news was coming up! The giant evil Shadow god seemed to release some terrifying miasma in an attempt to kill off everyone by asphyxiation. This wasn't good. I don't think any of us could handle it. But...! There was another terrifying thing; a sound roaring in the distance, was something summoned?! Indeed, a large wolf-like creature suddenly lunged at the Shadow and attacked it, causing it to dissipate entirely after some more fierce mangling with what I could only imagine were immensely deadly fangs. Afterwards, it looked at us as it perched on top of the shrine. No, this wasn't a conventional Shadow by any means. There was none of those typical auras that emanated from it. It was obviously summoned or called into battle by something or by someone. But no. I couldn't figure it out just yet.
Now, I was at an impasse. There was a small skirmish going on between Tiger Kid and the smartass Tristan. No, even if Tiger Kid Takemoto was a Shadow, he expressed intent on being on our side. I would give him the benefit of the doubt for now, so it would be a bad idea to try and escalate things by mistake in trying to diffuse it. It wasn't going to come from me. But then there was the matter of this new wolf combatant. It seemed pretty clear to me it wanted to protect something. The Shrine, perhaps? Was it watching over our combat and trying to prevent something disastrous from occurring to it? I know I could tell it wasn't on our side. In fact, it released some electrical bursts on everyone; and I was caught off guard by it so I ate some of the damage, kneeling down from being startled and literally shocked.
I coughed and stood up again, gripping my knife and looking around frantically trying to assess the situation. It really didn't help that in Holly's attempt to try and get everyone to calm down, it only seemed to make things worse. Sayu snapped at her with much vitriol, claiming that people were in it only for themselves and that it was a 'every man for himself' affair. To me, quite frankly, if she knew half of the people fighting right now, she would realize she was full of shit. But now wasn't the time to bring that rhetoric out. The Heat Riser power had been erased by the wolf, too. Sigh, sigh, sigh. How troublesome! And in fact, I eyed one of the combatants on our side pulling the trigger on his gun and aiming at Sayu's phone. Uh oh. That was bad. If it connected, Sayu couldn't talk properly, because she was mute and relied on that thing to vocalize her thoughts. What the fuck was going on here? Even if she might have been a bitch then and there, that's still no reason to turn on your allies, because... For fuck's sake, she was probably twice as strong as you are, you little snot!
Luka and some others were preparing to strengthen themselves again, but I didn't know if it was such a smart idea. I ignored Ringo's valiant attempts to try and diffuse the situation, because I knew it would fall on deaf ears.
I sighed, released the tension on my knife and pulled out my arm instead, attempting to test the waters by putting some aggression on the hound. The Shadow of the Corrupted God had disappeared for now, but it may still be around, reapparing later... Not before watching a young man who clearly should not have been around suddenly eating the electric charge from the beast as well and becoming incapacitated. Charging up my arm with the power of flame, I rushed over to the civilian's side as he was being dragged out of harm's way by another user and noticed that he was definitely out.
"Ugh. This is bad," I said, still overloading my arms with flame. The guy dragging the fallen civ would definitely hear me. "Our so-called allies are fighting amongst each other, there's a giant wolf guardian thing, and our initial target has disappeared. Not to mention there are other Shadows we have to deal with too. Come on, would it kill for some people to act their fucking age?"
Everything was devolving around here. People fighting amongst each other as well as the shadows. Amane was trying her best to construct strategies and ways to get out herself and Ran out of this mess. For once though, she has nothing. She was completely at the mercy of chance....then there is this recent concern.
"Use everything you've got. He wouldn't accept anything less!" Vice unleashed another gigantic burst of light. This time around Amane managed to dodge it. Her eyes began to glow. She readied Silky for another Garula spell but jumped out of the way of a large shock wave. Ran was right, this turtle man was frustrating. Amane bit her lower lip. This was getting too chaotic.
Amane shuddered as she heard a sound. She looked up to see a large wolf. Her eyes widened. She heard a large howl from the white wolf. Suddenly she felt all of her empowerments vanished. Amane's eyes widened. This wolf...whatever it was...it was an enemy?! She dropped her staff in horror. Two sentient shadows...a full moon shadow...and now whatever this thing was?!
Her fear froze her, Amane more or less allowed the electric attack to hit her. She collapsed in the ground and shuddered in agony as she felt the electricity course through her body. She clutched her arms as she shivered. She wasn't sure why but...she heard words...these words...
"Everyone here came for themselves or for an extension of their own interests. If shit gets tough, they'll run, regardless of what you say!" Amane's eyes widened as she looked up over at the girl who...well more her phone...that spoke those words. She remembered Layla at the hospital. Was this what she sounded like...but at the same time she's right.
"We got to run! It's pointless if we die here!!" Amane yelled out. Finally pick up her staff and managing to get herself back up. "They're just interested in the shrine right now...we can leave and come back...think of something different, but we can't the way things are now!!" Amane looked around and wondering who was with her. Amane's gaze fell upon Ran. She slowly started to turn around. Amane made one last glance at Ran to see if she would run...but even so Amane's legs began to move.

The shadow god had been attacked by something odd and strangely alien. Gin, unsure of what to make of this development, sort of tuned out the commotion behind him. Having been struck by lightning, he was hurt; however, curiosity got the better of the giant cat. He walked calmly up to the wolf, while staying a distance back. He examined the creature, but he found nothing that would help him identify it. He knew only one thing: It wasn't shadow or human.
Suddenly sick of the examination, the shadow jumped back. He saw enough to know that the enemy was one he had no experience with, which scared him. As such, he blasted off with another almighty spell.
Xain looked on as people created mass hysteria. He hadn't done much to help, but he knew one thing he could do. The man from the park, the one now shooting in the direction of his allies, was now Xain's projected target. He walked up to the male, slid the spear back into his right arm, and swung. He intended on hitting the male right in the nose.
"Quit being such a little bitch," the robot said calmly. He then turned to the wolf and smiled. He summoned Principality and called for an Aeon Rain, which the angel obliged.

Tristan couldn't think straight. The fact that Vice had fallen to a single goddamn shadow... It was unnerving. It was horrifying. It was painful. It was, sadly, true. However, if Vice could die, what did that mean for the rest of them? The thought of that sent Tristan spiraling into a cloud of rage, fear, and sorrow.
He looked around at everyone with teary eyes and was suddenly pissed at how everyone was fighting against one another. He tried to speak, but no sound came out at first. The second time brought only a whisper, but the third time he found his voice. "Will you all just SHUT THE FUCK UP?" he yelled, firing a burst of flame into the air to attract attention. "GodDAMN, can no one see that this is helping nothing? I mean, FUCK, listen to your-goddamn-selves for a minute! You all got problems with one another? I can sure as hell relate. What I can't do, though, is fucking stand by while we kill each other and the enemy goes free!" The boy turned to the tiger he had just attacked a moment ago. "Gin, I'm going to kill you. Now isn't the time nor place, though, and the only reason I attacked was because I'm fucking pissed. We need to settle this later, but let's focus on the enemy at hand."
He turned back to the general masses. "Deal with the shit later! For now, let's just focus on two things: killing the fucking reason we're still currently awake, and avenging Vice! Anyone got a fucking problem with that? No? Good!" With that, the boy cast Megidola again, this time careful not to hit Gin with it.

The shadow man seemed to unleash another strong attack, but again she managed to dodge it. It seemed luck would run out though. A white beast entered the battle. It seemed to be a wolf and it howled loudly through the full moon. It was so scary... but wait. What was it doing now? Oh no electricity It hit her straight on her arm and went through her entire body. Her body felt so numb... She lowered her position. It hurt so much. She could feel healing going over her soon though. "Thanks!" She said to the girl that healed her and Layla. After Layla casted a spell her numbness was gone too. Now she could cast a spell of her own again. "Magarula!" She shouted as broke another card and let elf fire among the enemies.

In a daze, Phoebe registered the that the battlefield was descending into utter chaos. And she couldn't take it. She dropped her hammer, dropped to her knees and covered her ears with her hands to try and drown out everything.
Phoebe...
Shut up! Phoebe no, don't-- SHUT UP SHUT UP!! I don't know what's going on anymore! I can't do it!
Hypatia sounded panicked and Phoebe knew she was standing over her, trying to jostle her out of this panic-attack. Phoebe, please, just--
NO! I CAN'T DO THIS!
...Please...
She stared at the ground and drew deep breaths.
Listen.
"Did you all forget why we were here in the first place? The entire city is in danger."
"I have complete faith in your ability to make good battle decisions."
"We're stronger together."
"We are this city's hope."
Phoebe knew she couldn't clearly hear whoever said them. It was Hypatia bringing the words to her. She was trying to help Phoebe calm down and in a funny sense, it worked.
She grabbed her hammer and got back up but it was a bad time she picked. She just caught the wolf creature taking out the 'god' Shadow. She shivered. That thing... didn't feel like a Shadow, as absurd as the thought was.
"...Oh good God..." she muttered, staring.
But then came the pain. The psychotic Shadow the girl called Ran was fighting unleashed a massive wave of strike power. Phoebe caught it with the corner of her eye just as the buffs on everyone got wiped out. She wasn't fast enough and even though Hypatia reached out and threw her shield arm over her, the impact was just as raw and powerful as if she wasn't wearing any armor. Phoebe fell with a scream and she felt her arm break.
Still on the ground, her vision blurry from the hit, she felt a hard hit of electricity surge through her. She screamed and almost arched her back off the ground, then flopped back down like a fish when it was over. She was seeing stars like never before. She was about to pass out when thankfully there came a refreshing wave of healing and she also felt a wave of relaxation come over her. It felt as though a highly tensioned wire suddenly relaxed and grew supple again.
She pushed herself up and found herself staring at that girl that had been with her when she fought the scorpion in the graveyard -- what was her name again... oh right, Amane. She was panicking and she had already started to run. Phoebe stood up. She suddenly abandoned everything and strode over to her. She grabbed Amane by the arm, pulled her back and put both arms on the girl's shoulders.
"Amane! Calm down," she said and to her amazement found her voice to be steady. "Calm down. If one of us breaks ranks now we're all going to go down the drain. We can't run. If we run, who's going to stand and fight? Right now we all need to calm down and the more of us start acting calm, the faster we'll win. Listen, I know you're scared. I'm terrified. But I'm here. Stand near me if you're scared, I'll protect you. I promise."
She let go of the girl and turned around. Hypatia shook herself down and stood ready.
Three enemies. Three fronts. And nobody knowing what to do. "Start calling weaknesses when you find them and shift focus depending on whether you can nail them or not!"
So the wolf could remove their buffs; that was a problem but then again, they needed something to buffet all the damage they were taking. She knew that compared to others she couldn't dish out a whole lot of damage, so she opted to apply a bit of a defensive layer on everyone yet again.
"Hypatia, Rakukaja," she said breathlessly.
All the while, she was struggling against thinking about the Shadow that killed Vice... and would probably be wearing his face for the rest of its life.
