Mosaic City, located along China's coast, is quite large city sometimes called the Crossroads Between Nations due to its diverse population. While it was once a large tourist spot, the city was placed under a blockade as the military appeared claiming there was a radiation leak. The true hazard, however, is much more sinister.

The attacks were now raining down on it. Routine at this point, however the drake started to flap its wings and created an intense wind. Ringo's movement felt hindered and to make matters worse it seems that the drake is having an easier time moving. It started to take a deep breathe, its chest glowing bright red. This meant one thing in movies. He quickly summoned Tokoyo.
"Tokoyo!" The samurai quickly sliced apart parts of other rides and such. Ringo knew the chaos and panic that might cause but he needed to create cover for most of the party if the drake does that dragon breathe. He winced as some of the fire seared him.
Xain looked on as the drake buffed itself while debuffing its enemies. It was a nice trick, but it irritated the android that people's work was erased as quickly as that. Luckily, pierce attacks seemed to work very well. Of course, many of the people were using pierce as well.
Still, there was one bothersome thing... One of the other Users attacked the shadow that assisted during the full moon battles. With a sigh, the android looked at her. Familiar, but unnamed. She was basically the same as the shadow, for all Xain cared.
At least the shadow wasn't randomly attacking seeming allies.
Still, he could retaliate. Xain didn't know. But if the female User were to attack the shadow without provocation, the android would interfere. He wouldn't use violence, but he would do something.
The android turned back to the drake. He summoned Dominion and Fired off another Poison Arrow. Let's hope nothing turns too horribly bad. That would be a shame.

Kami watched as the dragon-thing lifted its wings and somehow slowed down the people fighting it as well as speed itself up.Then, suddenly after, it starts breathing fire. I'm going to die in this fight. If I were to die in any fight, it's going to be this one. He almost starts to scream as the flame enveloped him, but something quickly healed his burns. In fact, he no longer felt any pain at all.
He almost started to grin, but he realized something: he's still surrounded by people summoning all sorts of things and fighting against a dragon. "Ummm... What the fucking hell is going on here?" Kami asked frantically. As he did this, he fired off a few more rounds at the dragon. He could only hope that the thing died quickly.

It appeared the draconic monstrosity's hide did little to shield it from piercing attacks. John counted himself lucky to be wielding just the right weapon for the job. Of course, he wasn't expectng the beast to just sit around and take all this punishment. It came as no surprise to John That the beast breathed fire at its attackers, thouh the tactif of stirring up stormy winds came quite unexpected. John's movement capabilities were heavily impaired by the gust puling at him.
Furthermore, the blazing hellfire the beast had breathed afterwards wasn't something to be taken lightly either. John had wondered in passing how the archetypical knight in shining armor would fare against such fiery assaults. The question had been answered now in a less than preferable way. Luckily, healing powers soon took hold and mended the damage the old man had sustained.
Wanting to get this battle over with quickly, the old man opened fire on the enemy.

The one thing Gin had expected from the humans was a poor welcome. Sadly, he had been expecting only that which was coming. True, only one person was attacking him, but they knew how to hit. It was one of them from the hospital, the one who constantly used strike attacks. Big surprise, she started doing it again.
It hurt. Really, really bad. Of course, the shadow was able to take a good deal more than that. Gin instead focused on the drake, which seemed to be able to reduce its opponents' speed and speed itself up. "Anybody have a way to reverse it's speed effects? It's going to be hard to manage if it dodges attacks." Of course, there was the matter of its natural resistances. Dark won't work, but light just might...
The tiger released a ball of pure light into the sky. If the drake wasn't hit by this, he didn't know what would work. Not that he would be able to do much if it didn't. He could try almighty, but it wouldn't provoke a weakness. He could only hope that the black drake was as nocturnal as possible.

Amane winced in pain as the flames reached her. It seems that fire won't do the trick though that didn't matter to her. Piercing damage seems to do the trick but that seemed to make sense. She doesn't have any method to pierce its wings so Amane is going to stick to her usual method of attack. Lots and lots of spells. Amane's eyes began to glow.
"Viviane!" Viviane once more appeared and sent a spiral of wind to hopefully strike down the beast. With numerous people with pierce attacks, she can imagine this going fast. It seemed easier than the deadly slime woman by comparison all things considered.

With a small smile, Tristan changed into his shadow form for the first time since he obtained a human form. He felt his body growing longer, he felt the tail growing from him. As his form went dark and sprouted flames, the shadow experienced a sort of thrill: he couldn't wait to try his luck in battle. His small smile broke into a grin; his form, however, turned it into a horrendous sight. He was ready.
He bounded into the fight, then looked down at the Users. He glanced over them and found many that he recognized. He only knew a few, but that wasn't his concern. He only felt a need to do battle. His attention lingered over the other shadow present, Gin.
"You, cat," Tristan said in the comfort of knowing that none there could know him. "I have no issues with you. Unlike some of them. So, I hope you take up no quarrel with me. I'm doing this for my own reasons, and my reasoning may change. Just to let you know." Although this meant nothing out of context, Tristan emphasized by materializing Laevateinn and swinging in such a way so as to bring a plague on the Users.
Post by Jaelyn Callahan on Jun 14, 2014 21:07:51 GMT -5
Jaelyn blinked as she heard someone call her name. Someone who sounded familiar, but when she turned to see who it was, she did a double-take. It was not who she had expected at all. After the near fiasco that was their outing at the museum together, Jaelyn had not expected Setsuna to show up to anything of this scale. But, here she was. And not looking completely lost, at that. Had she been at the last one too?
No, no, there was no time to wonder about that. She noted the younger girl's reaction: surprise, accompanied by a strong and immediate blush. That was...a problem. Jaelyn hadn't actually expected the girl's impression of her to go that far. A willingness to leave her life in Jaelyn's hands, sure. But crushing on her? She would have to set that straight eventually. There wasn't time for that either at the moment though, nor was it appropriate. Instead, she simply nodded back at Setsuna, and turned back towards the dragon thing just in time for it to negate the speed boosts she had contributed. On top of that, her fire attack had done nothing (to be expected, but confirmation early on was good to have) and it was clearly about to retaliate with one of its own. Remembering that the museum trainwreck had in part been caused by Setsuna's weakness to fire and her being slow to step in, Jaelyn moved immediately, coming to a stop in front of Setsuna just in time for the fire to hit her and harmlessly wash over her, in turn missing Setsuna in the process.
"Hey," Jaelyn said, directing Caligula to send a wave of energy at the shadow that would negate its fire absorbing ability. "I don't know if I'm going to be able to help you every time. Can you take a hit now?" Even if a hit was all she could take, that would hopefully be all she needed. Holly or succubus persona girl didn't seem to have shown up yet, but they still had healers.

And they were off. The dragon thing did seem, at least, to be affected by the wind stirred up by Anna's entrance, but she noted that the people who just shot at it had much more of an effect. She grinned, hefting her shotgun off her shoulder. The umbrella canopy wasn't attached today. In fact, until the Dark Hour had fallen she had concealed it instead in a carrying bag still slung over her back. She winced as fire (of course it would be fire, it's a dragon washed over her, but managed to recover quickly enough that even before the healing came she was ready to go on the offensive. "Pull!" she called out, tracking the drake's movements in case it took flight again or charged, then fired off a slug at it.
"No problem, you're right on time," Pyxis said, grinning back at Alisa as she showed up. Meanwhile, as all of their attacks hit the dragon, Pyxis noted which ones did and didn't work. Darkness was out, as was fire, at least one among them did something to (most likely) negate it. Everything else that got used was fair game, although the penetrating properties of just plain shooting it seemed to be the most effective. Meanwhile, the dragon took off, pulling everyone towards it in the process, then landed again and breathed fire at all of them. The pull seemed to be the more threatening of the too, since the drake was much faster after it and their own agility boosts had disappeared.
Then, it swung its tail around to stab at someone, and Pyxis moved the moment she saw where it was headed. She imposed herself in the tail's path, in front of Alisa, and let the tail slam harmlessly into her armor. Then, noticing another shadow show up, she directed Prometheus to attack again rather than just shooting with her own guns. The titan of forethought raised his torch high, and lances of white light shot out of the torch in all directions, aimed at all currently present shadows.

The dragon predictably absorbed the fierce fire spell thrown at it, and it was also predictably impervious to dark attacks. Everything else was game it seemed, and it was particularly susceptible to piercing attacks like gunfire. I had the trick for it with my new automatic crossbow, but I also had other wonders when another Shadow aside from Gin appeared, a great flaming demon, who seemed to be eager to try and pound us into a pulp. The dragon itself began to pull us closer to it with fierce currents that it generated by flapping its wings. It made us slower and itself rather faster, and as it done so it began to breathe fire. Though, the flames did absolutely nothing to me. However, that was the least of my worries as it lifted its tail in the air and attempted to drive it into me, but Pyxis rushed to put herself in between the tail and myself, I gasped from surprise until I realized the attack did nothing to her.
I gasped again. "Thank you, Pyxis, I owe you one." I looked up at the dragon and then at the flaming demon. I sighed as I realized that my current options for offense looked rather grim. I resigned to getting out my automatic crossbow and firing at the dragon, as that seemed to do the most damage.

So, the dragon's resistances were basically what Setsuna would have assumed they would be; absorbs Fire (after all, it is a dragon) and nullifies Dark. Piercing attacks seemed to be especially powerful against it, though. Only thing that sucked in that regard was that Setsuna had no way to take advantage of that. But, at least it didn't resist any of her attacks either, unlike that monster they fought during the last Full Moon. So now, she could actually be somewhat useful. Hopefully. Of course, all that was before the dragon decided to unleash a blast of flames from its mouth. Considering that Setsuna was weak to fire, this was definitely a bad thing. All she could do was brace herself and hope for the best.
However, before she realized what was happening, Jaelyn had jumped in front of Setsuna, taking the hit for her. It was then that she remembered that Jaelyn was immune to Fire-based damage, and she couldn't have been happier to have her at her side right now. "Th-thank you...and don't worry about me. I've come a long way since that disaster at the museum...though, that fire attack has me pretty nervous..." Despite her worries, however, Setsuna was determined to keep going. Stepping out from behind Jaelyn, she set her sights on the dragon once more and summoned Undine as she prepared for another attack. This time, a bolt of lightning came down from the sky, with hopes that it would be able to strike the dragon. Action: Zionga
Post by Layla Amare on Jun 15, 2014 8:54:00 GMT -5
Layla's opening attack went well, as did most of the other attacks. But the moment the dragon counterattacked, it negated their speed boosts while gaining some of its own. Its own attacks, meanwhile, seemed to do almost negligible damage. Sure, the fire hurt, but it was easily healed off. And anything that could have done worse to anyone looked like it had been blocked by people who negated it entirely.
And then came a slightly bigger problem. Another shadow showed up, slashing at the group with a fiery sword. In the aftermath, several people present started showing signs of something Layla recognized from her very first full moon fight: poison. Back then, she had struggled to heal it one at a time, but now such a thing as poison was almost negligible. That thought managed to bring Layla a little bit out of her 'out of it' state. It was a reminder that her presence was still making a difference, especially when most of the more experienced and better Users from her first couple of fights were missing.
She took a deep breath, then directed Vajrabhairava to pour out a sample of the Amrita elixir and cure the poison effects.
There had to be another large monster trying to destroy the town. At this time of the month something bad always happened. Unlike before, she wasn't going to be caught off guard without any equipment. Brynhild even took the day off from work to prepare for the boss fight. It'd be faster to run across town if she started at home instead of Riptide Park.
This all assumed that the Shadows weren't going to attack the amusement park. Hearing the dragon's roar coming from that direction immediately angered her. She should have expected the battle would happen at the worst place possible. The places on the beach were the only ones she felt attached to. If anything got destroyed either she'd be out of a job, or have to clean this mess up. Right now it was hard to tell which would be worse. Let's just stop both from happening.
Brynhild found where the others were and headed in their direction. Even with magic, she couldn't hit anything from this far away. Until she actually caught up it'd be impossible to do any damage.
The drake lunged back and climbed back up the roller coaster backwards as to not leave its back to the enemy. Needless to say, it was some freaky looking shit. While this went on, it made sure to dodge as many attacks as possible since it was a good deal faster than the enemy. It managed to dodge the attacks of Ringo, Xain and John!
Looking at the users once more, the beast inhales again before exhaling a breath of fire on the enemy dealing major fire damage to everyone! Following this, the beast lunges forward, revealing its claws and slashes at Xain, James, and Jaelyn for major slash damage!
Again, the beast expands its wings sending a strong gust in everyone's direction. This also does minor wind damage to everyone. Flapping its wings, the beast takes to the sky and begins to soar around from above! While in the air, the drake has increased evasion and can only be hit by projectile attacks!
